Why are they doing this? It was just refurbed like 5 yr. ago. If they are, I pray its for Queen size beds! Its our favorite resort, but I so would like a bigger bed!

I think you must be doing something wrong. I saw the pictures and it was definitely from 2013. If you put the website ending in .com followed by:

My sincerest apologies. I was looking at a different thread. I see now the one you mentioned is from March of this year.

Can anyone see if the beds are still doubles or if they've been changed to queens? I couldn't tell. It looks like they will be installing sliding doors to separate the vanity area (track over the opening and a door leaning against the wall in another photo.)

Queens and Murphy beds would be amazing! It is about time disney gives options that are more cost effective to a family of 5 .

The only refurbs that I can remember are the food court in 2002, the main pool area in 2008, and the pirate rooms in 2009. Mind you we've only been staying there since 2008, but there definitely haven't been any refurbs to the standard rooms in that time.

The post is not from 1999, that was the OP original join date note. This is most definitely from 2013. On a side note, I wish the rooms were more colorful and bright to carry on the theme of the rest of the resort. That was one of the reasons I enjoyed staying there. These new rooms, while nice just seem dark to me. I do like the doors instead of curtain between the sinks and the room. That's positive. I'll be anxious to see the finished rooms completely put together

I surely could be wrong....and, frankly, I hope I am but...those still look like double beds to me. But clearly the room wasn't finished yet, so...there's still hope for those Queens.

I heard Caribbean beach rooms are the largest of the mods not sure if correct but it would make sense to offer rooms for five there too

The size of the room has nothing to do with occupancy; it has to do with the corridors that lead to grade for people to exit in case of a fire.

The buildings at CBR are somewhat similar to AB at POR, therefore it is POSSIBLE that Reedy Creek MAY allow a similar occupancy rate. I am in no way starting some sort of rumor (which I am sure after reading this post 85 percent of people will assume it is true), but I am saying it could be possible because of the configuration of the building and its ability to exit people quickly from the second floor with multiple stairs like AB.

Yay! I'm so glad it's being done! I wonder when the refurb will be completed? I don't suppose anyone has any idea?

I'm hoping for queen beds too!
