Oh the places We Go, The People We see

Yeah, I'm still skeptical. But nervous about it. Of course this is the one year we won't be there to see them, so it will just be what it is. No good-byes for us if the rumor turns out to be true.

That would be a very sad thing if they took those away. It was surely a highlight of our trip.

You got so many great pictures! We were very crowed in there our night and I missed a lot of the small detail shots.

When you figure out how to shoot at TSM without a sore arm, let me know! LOL My arm feels like its gonna fall off every time!

That late at night my patience is thin as well, and while I understand some people need time to order for various reasons, I always seem to be right behind the ones who just stand there and bicker about what to get.

It would be a shame to miss out on seeing them. I can't tell you how in awe we were of them.

That's a bummer about the wait time being so far off. That really worries me for future trips since fastpass is going to be more limited. And I just seem to hear more and more stories about standby times being way off. I think they have monkeyed a lot with the number of FP slots in the system over the past year.

What a shame about all the waiting first for the ride and then for the bus. The night time photos from Magic Kingdom are amazing though.

More beautiful light pictures, and our pictures of the Studios in the evening are gorgeous. Sorry about the long wait for TSM; I hate when people don't shush up when an announcement is being made. It really irks me. :headache:

Great photos of the castle and lights at the MK. Love eating at Cosmic Rays.

More great photos, Jen!
I love the Osbourne (spelling?) lights. When we went on our once in a lifetime winter trip we went to see them more than once. :thumbsup2

So sorry about the long bus wait. One of the reasons we have a car - at least we are moving. :rotfl2:

You are getting me real excited for our trip, Jen. Thank you!

Um ....... one more question. Which one of your threads was the one with the Wonder Western Caribbean cruise? I got my cruise booklet yesterday and i need to rethink some of our excursions. We will only be in port for 5 hours - I do NOT want to look at ruins for 4 out of 5 of those hours. :lmao:

And ............ HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!

Nice pics of T-Rex. I agree about the sign in, they do need to do something about it.
I sat at the same table last year. LOL
The food looked so good.
The art was really nice.
Strange you never get the text, I always get it. Strange.
Osborne Lights is so gorgeous.
MMM, I enjoy Cosmic Ray’s.
Very nice castle pics lit up.
All caught up again.

I just kept shooting and sometimes I didn't even see some of the details till I got home. LOL. I think I saw them there too, but didn't realize I was getting them all on my camera. And then some shots I am like what is this...then look closer and remember ....oh yeah!
I swear my elbow and shoulder take such a beating on TSM.
It had now been over a week of vacation and lack of sleep was starting to get to me. I swear I always get behind the people who don't know how to use the dining plan. I swear i should bring that flyer I made and just start handing them out. LOL.

Today is our 11th anniversary. Skip is busy with work...trying to beat the next rain episode, so I am not bugging him ....but he did mention recently that we never did anything for our 10th anniversary. So you know my mind is going inot over drive. I would love to get him on a short cruise. I know he'll never do a long one and even if it's not Disney, I know we would have fun. Claire told me today that she is not cruising again till Skip goes with us. Well sorry sister....if he doesn't want to come....I'm still cruising sometime in the next year. :rotfl2: I bet she would change her tune too if I told her we were going on one.

I really think there is not going to be a smooth transition with this new system. Heck they can't even get it right online yet. it's amazing at how messed up the MDE is online and yet they launched it and keep sending emails out about how fabulous it is. :crazy2:

I was just getting to the point too where things got on my nerves faster than they should have. Claire was an angel in line though and she saw the lights with me at my request, so I could do this for her. I really try to give her some say in things because I remember my parents never allowing us to do what we wanted. It was all their wants and we arrived late and left early. So I want to be sure she is happy too. now of course I am the parent and I do over rule things and sometimes I make her go on things because I know she will be fine with it.

You would think everyone else would want to know why we were waiting so long, but I guess not. LOL.

You know, I am not sure of the exact spelling either without looking it up and I am too lazy to do that right now. LOL.

We were on the Magic, but it was the TR call "I Love Commedians with Guitars". (link in signature)

Which port are you talking about? I do like ruins, but yes, I understand about the time constrants too. I haven't had much time to explore many ports on my own yet. Well I did a little bit in Nassau but I had mr creepy falling in love with me, so I didn't stick around long. :rolleyes2

And thanks

The sign in really needs a SIGN!!!!

Too funny, another person on another board told me she sat at the same table too. She was there actually the same week I was too.
I think they hate me or something because not once did I get a text...but my sister did.
The lights are just amazing. So much better in real life too.
Same with the castle. I could just sit there and stare at it all night.

Well, I'm back and all caught up! Thank goodness for your links, otherwise i'd have never gotten through it all!

Love all of your pics, especially the girls at BBB and the possessed Abby! That one had me and DS cracking up! I can't remember everything i wanted to comment on, so just a few random thoughts...

- Jetskis on CC. DH and i did them last year and absolutely loved them. We did the last trip of the day. It was us and one other couple on one unit. THe guides let us play around a lot more, and took us over to the uninhabited island where we explored in the shallows for quite a while.

- Castle pics. Those are great! I got to see DL in the XMAS gear when I was out there last fall for work. It was the week before Turkey day and the castle out there was beautiful too. I wish I had more time to get pics, but it wasn't meant to be.

- Score for Dooney with a discount! It's the only way to shop!

Hope all is well with you and Skip's hip. Claire is getting so big!

I like your new purse! I got a new one too but not a Dooney though.

I really love the tile in the Mermaid bathrooms but then I thought if they were dirty you'd never see it. I would love to have it in my bathroom at home at least I would know if it was dirty or not:laughing:

I've seen the Osborne light twice and they are beautiful. That's funny that Claire was mad because she wanted to play Legos. Maybe a trip to Legoland is in order.

You asked about my trip. Well it was very hot, very crowded, and very rainy. I did not like staying at All Star Sports. I missed Pop. We still had a lot of fun but the heat really wore us down. I like going in Oct/Nov much better. But I would not turn a summer trip down if that was the only time I could go. I'm glad we got to go.

HAPPY Anniversary!:rose:

You got some great pictures, but even your wonderful shots don't do the lights justice! It's just magical, with the music and the CMs and everyone in such fun and happy moods!!!! :goodvibes

Good choice on the crustables sammie for later! I wouldn't have thought about that! ::yes::

Thanks Jen! Somehow I don't have my act together this year, as there are so many things I still need to do. I have not even started my travel binder yet. :scared1:

We only have 6 hours at Grand Cayman and the tour we signed up for is around 4 hours. So with tendering (and I guess we will need to tender) that will not leave us any explore time. I either find some other tour or we'll just try to explore a little on our own.
Same thing with Costa Maya. ;) There we only have 4 1/2 hours and a 4 hour tour which starts 15 minutes BEFORE the all ashore. :rotfl2: And it is another 4 hour tour. Reading through your report we can just walk around a little on our own.
As it looks we have a full day at Cozumel 8 - 5.30. I'll keep my ruins that day. :lmao:
Any recommendations on what to do in either port, Jen? Guess that is something I will need to put on my to do list as well ....... read up on ports.

And for good measure, my computer has been acting up (crashing) several times a day, so I will need to get our netbook to work on, but the screen is tiny and it's no fun.
Okay, enough whining. Thanks for the "shortcut" of which trip report to look up!

Welcome back. Life just get in the way at times, doesn't it?

Summer is hot! And not my choice either, but if it is the only choice I have, I'll go too.
And we do plan to do a trip to Legoland next year. I am supposed to have access to 2 free tickets, so that makes it doable! :thumbsup2

Yes you will tender in Grand Caymen. They have fabulous snorkeling there. The one I did was not one of the great ones to do, but it made ups happy, but they have much better spots if you like that sort of thing. And Sting Ray city is very popular there too. I believe the turtle farm is there as well and I have heard good things about that.
I never ventured out at Costa maya. There was military presence all over there. We just stayed in the gate port plaza and there is a lot of shopping in true mexican fashion and a big pool and some bars. Brook and Carolyn did take a taxi out and looked around a bit. Some people get a beach spot at a local hotel. I think its called Tropicana.

While roaming the park, we had to make another attempt at pulling out the sword.

Again we had no success.

We headed off to It’s a Small World then at Claire’s request.

I wish this was a better picture. I loved how the new castles walls are lit up.

And then at my request, we headed off to Pirates of the Caribbean.

And the Jungle Boats had a very little line, so we got in line there. Claire loves to ride this at night….well I do too.

It was now about 11, closing time, so we had to make our way to the front once again.

I know I have said it several times now, but I just really LOVE the Christmas décor!

The shops windows were just adorable too.

Off to the bus stop then and they were doing a great job and getting buses in and out tonight. For as busy as the park was and the amount of people leaving, I think it only took us 30 minutes at the most to get back to AoA.

We made it safely back to Art of Animation and of course I took a few pictures on the way back to the room.

We made it back to our room. Let me tell you, after spending a full day, the walk back to the Little Mermaid section is long. I think it’s psychologically longer because it’s made outside instead of indoors.
Probably 7-10 minutes. Probably 5 if you walk fairly fast. But by the time we made it back there we were dead on our feet.
We quickly went to bed, though Claire did spend a few minutes with her Legos while I got ready for bed.
Soon we drifted off to dream land once again.

We had another full and wonderful day. I met up with Carey and Kadence once again and almost had another meet with Tim.
Oh the People We See.
We moved to yet another resort today and slept in the 6th bed of the trip.
Oh the Places We Go!

We made it back to our room. Let me tell you, after spending a full day, the walk back to the Little Mermaid section is long.

Well, I explained that for you before. They pick up those buildings and move them farther back while you're out for the day. :p
