Do I need to log in at midnight to get our exursion?

We're first time cruisers and our booking day for excursions is in less than two weeks. We only plan to do one excursion - the double rider watercraft ski adventure. Do they typically sell out? Should I log in at midnight to give myself the best chance of getting it?

Thanks!

I did for my first cruise. You probably don't have to but better safe than sorry

I'm not sure about the excursion part, but logging in at midnight allowed me to select a PAT of 11am and boarding number of 4 last week on the Dream. This was our first cruise, and my kids loved riding the Aquaduck several times before the ship got crazy busy. I hope this helps.

I don't think that you actually selected a boarding number during your online checkin. It's always been just the PAT. And you find out your boarding number at the port when you check in there.

We are cruising on Sept 6th on the Fantasy. There is still Double Riders left on my Cruise excursion site. The single one was full for a week and now its available again.:)

They do usually get booked by the Cruise time so I would book it at your window opening, or the next day for your excursions. Remember if you want to Book Palo or Reme then you should book these at midnight.

SunshineTK- I see what you mean. You got an 11am Pat at your Booking Window and that got you a #4 Check in last week on the Dream. I'm glad you had a great Cruise.

The double riders are the first to be sold out. That said, if you don't get it, they typically have additional ones on board. I would go as soon as you board to the excursions desk and book one at that time.

That was our case last August - we had booked last minute *GT rate so no options.

I guess not all the time, as the single riders were the First to be Booked up on my last 2 Cruises with Disney. They were the first to be booked up for this Cruise in Sept as well. And then a week ago the single rider came back on the list to book. I guess someone decided against it.:)

This probably depends on the cruise. DH and DS were booked as double riders (I booked days after I did online check-in). They had one of the earliest excursion times and when they arrived they were told they were the only ones booked and asked to come back an hour later and join the next group. This was on the Dream in January- maybe fewer takers due to water temps?

Thanks everyone! I'm confused about online check in. I don't have my passport yet. I thought I was suppose to fill in information on my passport in the online check in.

Don't worry about it yet. You can still do the online check in and go back to edit and fill that part in once you get it. I checked in all of my extended family and had them go back to fill in passports, credit card info, and register the kids. No problems!

As of Today, That is the Single Riders Watercrafts fully Booked on Our Cruise now, the Cruise Date is Sept 14th. Only the Double Riders still left for CC.:)

Since you don't have your passport yet, just fill in that you're using a birth certificate and go back and edit when you get your passport.

We had credit cards that were due to expire between the time we checked in and the time we cruised, so DCL wouldn't accept it. I waited til we got the new cards before finishing the check-in, and ended up with a late PAT. It would have been better to just fill in that we were using cash, then edit later.

Our date to book excursions is tomorrow the 30th. So tonight I'm staying up late to book at midnight since dh's only request was to do the double rider watercraft with our 11 year old.

Could someone confirm, when you say midnight, do you mean midnight Eastern time? I am in the midwest and hoping I only have to stay up until 11 pm in a couple weeks. Going to have to set an alarm....lol. ;)

Yes, midnight EST, so 11 CST.

If I don't go on line at midnight and wait until the next morning, I wonder what PAT time I might get. I am not worried about excursions, as we aren't planning any for this short 3-nighter, but I would like to get on board early, just not willing to drag thru the next day at work because I was up so late (for me) the night before.

I checked my sister online this morning since she forgot to last night and got an 11:30-12 PAT.

So I checked in at midnight. I was able to book the double rider watercraft adventure on CC that my dh really wanted. And I was super lucky to get a PAT of 11-11:30am! I thought for sure our PAT would be later since we're first time cruisers.

Unfortunately when I registered the kids this morning I realized they had my son's birthdate wrong. Costco had my two youngest kids with the same birthdate. They changed it. Not sure what problems that may have caused later.
