This is my 3rd attempt at writing a pre-trip report for our Disney World vacation. My first one I never did finish and my second one I was really into but ended up having to cancel our March 2013 Disney World trip because we found our we were expecting our 2nd baby in May. Well we had DD2 on May 1, 2013 and we are beyond thrilled. Her big sister, DD1, has adjusted very well and is loving being a big sister. I was very worried about how she would react especially not being the only child but she adapted very well. Ok before I go any further let me introduce who will be on this trip.

Me: My name is Gina and I will be 31 almost 32 on this trip. Not only are we celebrating our daughters first trip to Disney World but we will celebrate my birthday as well which is October 4th. I can't even remember how many times I have been to Disney World it is so many. I don't have many pictures of myself that I like but here are a couple.

Jon: My husband of 5 years will be 32 on this trip. DH is a huge Disney fan because of me. Before me he had never been to Disney World or on the Disney cruise and he is hooked now. We got engaged at Disney and went their on our honeymoon as well as the Disney cruise. This will be DH's 4th time at Disney World.

My mom: She will be joining us on this trip as well. She couldn't not go to see her two granddaughters at Disney World for the first time. She has been to Disney World a few times as well as the Disney Cruise which is her favorite. My mom is another one who doesn't like pictures of herself.

My MIL: She should be coming on this trip as well. She is not a definite as of yet but I hope she will be. This will be her second time going to Disney World. She had never been to Disney before me as well. DH and I took my mom, dad and MIL to Disney World and Disney Cruise as a Christmas gift back in 2010. That was MIL's first time at Disney. She really enjoyed it and her absolute favorite character is Donald Duck.

DD1: My little Gianna who just turned 2 on Tuesday July 9th is a huge Minnie Mouse fan. I have been brainwashing her since she was born...haha This will be her first time at Disney World and I can't wait.

DD2: My little Sophia is just 2 months right now. She will be 17 months when we go. It should be interesting to see how she will react at that age. It will also be her first time as well. Let the expenses begin with having two girls going to Disney World. That is a very dangerous combination for me..haha

The dates of our trip will be September 22-28th. From Monday-Sunday. I have credit for Jetblue from our trip in March that we have to cancel so I would love to use that credit for this trip. I have a feeling I am going to be fighting them on it because the credit is only good for a year and I cancelled it last November. I am kicking myself now because I should have waited to cancel. I hope everyone enjoys reading my PTR. This is just the beginning so it is a little slow and I am new at this. Hopefully I will get better as I go along.

I thought I would also post some pictures of my daughter on her birthday with her new Minnie Mouse power wheels car. She absolutely loves it. Her birthday party is Saturday so we are getting ready for that. It is Elmo themed. Another favorite character of hers. We did Minnie last year for her 1st birthday so I had to change it up a bit. If no one minds I can post about that as well.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far and I look forward to chatting with everyone as my trip approaches. Only 438 days to go.

Yay, I followed you before and I'm happy you guys are getting to go. :cheer2: Your daughters are beautiful - congratulations on the new addition! I'm subscribing to your PTR! :goodvibes

Thank you!! I am so glad you joined me over here. I am so excited we get to go as well. As soon as the 2014 rates came out on Wednesday I was online booking our trip. Hopefully we won't have to cancel this trip as well.

Some of our plans that is already set is that we will be staying at the Grand Floridian. It is DH and I's favorite resort to stay at and even though it is a little more expensive we always make it work and save up for it. I always have to post pictures of this beautiful resort also. No matter how many times we stay there I always take a million pictures of it. On our last trip we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite and that was in August during a busier time. I am hoping that since we are going during an off peak time that maybe we will be upgraded again. :goodvibes Fingers crossed!!

I had mentioned before we will be flying Jetblue. It is the only airline I will fly for some reason. I am afraid of flying and this airline works for me. I am hoping to get an early flight. DD1 I know will be able to handle it. I have to see what DD2 is like as we get closer. As of right now she seems to be calmer then DD1 which I am surprised. I didn't think anyone could be more calm than her. We have been very lucky. I also have to figure out how we are going to get there. If we want to leave our car there the whole week or maybe take a limo because the girls will need car seats.

I already have a place to rent a double stroller when we get to Disney as well as renting cribs. That is what I have planned so far. Can't do much since we are so many days away for the trip.

I know this post was a little boring..lol My next post will probably be about my daughters 2nd birthday.

So while my girls are still sleeping and I have a minute to myself, having my coffee :surfweb: , I thought I would update with my daughters birthday party yesterday. I didn't get to take a lot of pictures but my SIL took a lot with her camera so I am hoping to get those.

My morning started with piling the girls in the car with my mom in the back seat with them to drive 45 minutes away to pick up the birthday cake. Thank goodness for the dvd player that comes with the car. My daughter had her pancakes, milk and we were off watching the Fresh Beath Band. I ordered her cake from a woman who does it out of her house. It was vanilla cake with a chocolate buttercream filling. It was delicious!! I just had a piece now with my coffee. I know not the best breakfast but I couldn't help it. I took a ton of pictures of the cake. I love how it came out.

As favors I had a woman make Elmo cookies. She also works out of her house. We received the cookies on Friday and my daughter was so excited we tried one that night. Here is a picture of how they came out.

So the party started at 3 and my daughter woke up from her nap at 2:30 so perfect time to get her and DD2 into their Elmo outfits. All I can say is that Etsy is very dangerous for someone like me. I bought their outfits from there for today. I also have a lot of outfits from Etsy saved to my Pinterest for our trip as well. I for some reason did not get a good picture of my daughters in their outfits and then I became to busy with the party and guests that I didn't get to take anymore pictures of them. They both had a second outfit that I didn't get a picture of so I am hoping my SIL did.

Here is a couple of pictures having fun in the pool.

My SIL and her husband are huge Disney fans as well and we are always talking about Disney and trying to plan a trip together in the future. My SIL's stepdaughter would have so much fun with DD1 and DD2. She is very good with them. They might meet us for a few days in September when we go that would be a lot of fun. So they were just in Disney World for 4th of July and picked up DD1 and DD2 some cute gifts.

It was a great birthday party and DD1 had a great time. She was exhausted when she went to bed. I can't wait for her to play with her new toys.

So the Disney store is having their family and friends discount for Disney Visa card members. I of course had to take advantage and bought both girls luggage. So they each have their own Minnie Mouse luggage that I am hoping is small enough to use as a carryon.

I am trying my hardest not to look at anything else because I will buy so much. I know when both girls go to bed tonight I will be going back on the website though.

Thank you, I see it is active for me today. :goodvibes

Okay, I'm caught up over here too! YAY! :thumbsup2

My YDD was 19 months on our first trip and she did really well with the flight, other than having some tummy issues- but that wasn't the fault of the plane! I think she had a small bug or something.

Your daughters are SO adorable! I love my sweet girls. They are almost exactly 3 years apart and are best friends already.

I love the GF! 1900 Park Fare is one of my favorite places to go for Breakfast! The lobster egg benedict is outstanding!!!

I am glad your daughter did well at 19 months on the plane. That gives me hope. I am going to have DD1 with her own seat and then will most likely have DD2 be on my lap or share a seat with DD1 during the flight. Not sure what I want to do yet. I really don't feel like spending the extra money for a seat but if she will be better with that I will do it.

Marking my spot and will be back to read!

Glad you made it over here!!!

Yay for the Grand Floridian! I need to try and stay here one day. I seriously doubt i'll ever luck out and get availability with the Villas there, but here's hoping to one day!

Just curious, can the girls not sleep in the pack n plays that the resort offers? Where are you renting a crib from?

Your family is so adorable!

My Sil is staying in the Villas in January I believe. I can not wait to see the pictures. I think you would have a good chance for availability for those villas.

I am not a huge fan of the pack n play for them to sleep in. I haw gone to other hotels and the pack n play did not come with a mattress but the regular bottom that is so hard. I would have to make my own type of mattress with blankets and sheets so there was some type of cushion. I know Disney would probably be better but I would just rather a crib. Plus I don't think DD1 would fit in one next year. I am renting the stroller and cribs from Kingdom Strollers probably.

You are so right about them being so hard. Actually, the Disney ones weren't too bad. When we went on our trip to PA, the pack n plays were TERRIBLY hard and no matter how many blankets I put in there, it wouldn't soften it. He ended up sleeping in our bed with us. Does Kingdom Strollers deliver when you arrive and pick up when you leave?

Yes they deliver the strollers and cribs and pick them up free of charge. :) You just let them know when you want them at the resort and when to pick them up. I also didn't think the prices for the week were bad. I don't feel like lugging the double stroller around in the airport or on the plane so I decided to rent one. I haven't used them yet but I have heard great things about them. Here is the link to their website.

That's really nice that it's free of charge. Thanks for the link!

How fun! Your daughters are just precious.
Am I too old for Minnie Mouse luggage? Mine is brown :(

Thank you. You are definitely not too old for Minnie Mouse Luggage. I have been looking to purchase their luggage but just can't bring myself to spend that much yet...haha Of course I can spend it on my girls but myself I just can justify right now.
