We stay in building 9 on the 4th floor and request to be close to transportation. It is a very quick walk to the buses. Please, please, please take some time to explore the shadow boxes in the lobby. They are full of toys and items from the different decades. Our kids were very interested in seeing previous versions of their current toys and seeing what their mom and dad played with. It is so awesome to see all of the great stuff we had growing up. :goodvibes

Great. Thanks. We will be sure to check out the shadow boxes. I might enjoy them more than my four year old. I'm still a big kid myself.:rotfl2:

I cannot stop looking at the POP videos on youtube. This place looks awesome. :cool1: We have reservations a the AOA for October; however, if fall free dining comes out, we will have to change our reservations to POP. I think that my four year old will love this place. Which building is recommended the most?

My favorite location was 60's section; Bldg 4; 4th Floor; Rooms 4450 & 4451 (lakeview). We were right by the elevator and stairs (as well as the ice and vending machines). The location was quiet and close to everything. The pool was just a few steps away but since our room wasn't facing it we didn't have to hear the noise. Classic Hall and the bus stops were a very quick walk. And as a bonus, we could see some of the fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood Studios from our room.

We love the 80's and 90's section. Close to a pool, laundry, and super close to the busses.

All I ever ask for is high floor near laundry...we have gotten every decade except 60's...will be interesting to see what this next time brings!

December is going to be the first time staying on Disney property and we are staying at Pop! We debated upgrading if we get free dining but DH thinks the kids will have the most fun at Pop.

We are thinking of requesting the Tramp building or Lady building. Any suggestions?

Can't go wrong with either :) we prefer Tramp as we book standard and request lake view. :) many Lady lovers here:)

For you solo POP'S, whats your experience like in and around POP?. Do you hang out more In the room(when your not in the park), by the pool, inside the main building. I know everyone Is different, i am just trying to get a feel for the environment

bld #9 is our favorite too! we have stayed on all the floors and each time has been quiet...the 2nd floor was surprisingly quiet and easy to walk up 1 flight. Love the location of that bld

We aren't using a TA and I'm not sure how to reserve a certain room area at POP. How do I do that?

Thanks!!

:welcome:

Requests need to be called in (you can just call 1(407)W-DISNEY) and added to your reservation. You can list 3, so be sure to list them in order of importance. For instance, I always request in this order:

Building 9
4th floor
Close to transportation

I always get all 3, but that doesn't happen for everyone, so that is why the order is important. Good luck! :goodvibes

Here at Pop now. We checked in last night, in building 6. The fridge in the room had a note on it saying do not use but I called mousekeeping and they brought me a fridge. My son is 13 months and drinks a lot of milk (and not much real food unfortunately) so it was declares medically necessary.

Could use everyone's expertise. We've stayed at pop before but it was just the hubby n I and we didn't care where the room was. This time we will have our 2 year old with us as we'll as my parents. I've requested adjoining rooms but nothing else at this point for our September trip. I'm thinking of asking for the 70's section for two reasons. First there is no pool in this section so I'm hopeful for quieter nap times for our daughter, it's also close to the bus stop and while my parents don't have mobility issues they are a little slower these days and I think close will be helpful at the end of the day. Thoughts? Anything else we should request?

No suggestions really, but I just want to make sure you know that you should request connecting rooms if you want the best possible chance to be close to your parents. Adjoining rooms could be close, but they could also just be in the same building and on a totally different floor.

Crazy resort changer here and I just have to say :thanks: so much for this thread. Usually I hop all over trying to get all the info I want but this thread really has everything I need when I am leaning towards Pop again. :disrocks:

Got the last of my Mickey Mail yesterday. We will be leaving 4 weeks from tomorrow. I need to go out and find a new suitcase we are one big one short. We never ever bring this much luggage but the cruise is making me pack more than normal.:rotfl:

My magic bands have gone from Customize to being shipped soon. So I can report back how they handle everything at pop once we get back.

We leave 3 weeks from today! 21 days from right now we will be in our descent to MCO. I cannot wait - I am so unfocused already! I just need to BE THERE! Nothing like it!
