easywdw vs. touringplans - who's right?

Comparing the two websites and their crowd predictions shows that not only do they disagree but on some days one will list Epcot, for example, as a "Best Park" when the other recommends it as the "Park to avoid".

What is everyone's experience with the two? Who's right? Who's wrong? Or is it all just guesswork and maybe both websites are a bunch of hooey?

Thanks.

I prefer easywdw. Josh explains why he picks each park for each day. If you read lots of Josh's blog entries, you will see that he posts a lot of pics of wait times and crowds for days that he has as 'recommended' vs what touring plans has as a park to avoid. He backs up his choices with all these blogs so you can see the difference.

I compared the two sites during one trip and EasyWDW was more accurate.

I'm kinda surprised that touringplans gets it wrong. I've always been a big fan of "The Unofficial Guide to WDW" to which touringplans.com is affiliated, but it seems to me that the predictions on easywdw.com make more sense.

Still interested in the experiences of others. We will be there during a relatively crowded season, so I definitely want to avoid the crowded parks.

Surprisingly (to me) I found touringplans to be accurate for our trip during Halloween week of last year. I had planned our week according to Easy's recommendations, but after experiencing two consecutive days of high crowd levels at his recommended parks, we switched to tp's "opposite" recommendations, with much better results.

We followed EasyWDW's recommended park days for our trip in May and it was wonderful! A couple years ago we visited during this same week without consulting any crowd calendars and I can tell you that we noticed a BIG difference in wait times using EasyWDW this time around. :thumbsup2

I have never used Touring Plans, so I can't speak to the accuracy of that site, but since EasyWDW worked so well for us, I don't have a need for Touring Plans.

Pick one. Some folks grade one or the other higher because of style points. Don't get me wrong, style points are fabulous. But how on earth could either site do more than give you an educated guess?

We have used Touring Plans for our last two trips. I have to say it was spot on for October, but off for April. I think Aprils picks may have been affected because it rained the first day, so maybe people didn't pick the parks they were expected to pick.

I'm still surprised at how many of these threads have been popping up recently. While it seems the majority favors easyWDW, there are still many who support TP, which does make the answer to the question...well...not really an answer at all.

Truth be told, there's no "better" choice per say; there are days where one's right and other's where one recommends MK at their "Best Park" on Fourth of July (as you might be able to tell, I lean towards easyWDW). Anyways, there is a wrong answer though: Undercover Tourist.

For our last two trips we used tour guide mike which does not update their touring plans but does a day by day analysis. They were right for our last two trips and this time they also match touring plans, so I am going with touring plans based on my personal track record with TGM...

I do like the fact that all three recommend avoiding EMHs.
