Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

Thank goodness!!! This is our first time staying at a mod and having the regular dining plan! Ive got 5 awesome ADR's, all new to our family, and I was so worried I would have to cx most of them if FD didnt come!! Wohoo!!! So now Im off to email my TA and make sure she plans to be in the office bright and early that monday morning with MY stuff on the TOP of her list of things to do!! LOL

Yes the room discount frequently falls in line with free dining. It will in this case as well.

What a perfect Early Birthday present for me AND a great way to start off our trip to Disneyland that we leave for in not even 2 days now...

Just hope that there's availability for a POFQ discount as we're already booked there.

Now I can enjoy this trip and then focus on paying off our next trip in December

Looks like a split stay for us.....wanting to check in on the 28th.....so we'll be doing room only on that day and then starting our package on Sunday the 29th. Hate to do that, but FDing saves us a TON.

I hope the the Dec. 12th date is accurate! If so I will be able to take advantage of FD for the majority of our trip! We check in on the 10th! Split reservation here I come!

You could do a 'split stay' - one ressie for 9th & 10th and the 2nd one starting on the 11th for the FD. From what I understand, you can pick up your park tickets 2-3 days early so you could still go to the parks before your FD ressie started if you wanted.

Yes this is correct, i just called. CM also stated PIN's are out for these dates but my Mickey Mailbox did not yet have a PIN. (So what else is new) They stated that they would split the ressie into two separate stays. Stay one would be a normal (rack rate) or room discount rate, for the days you stay before the FD dates. They second ressie would start at the FD dates and last through the rest of the trip. That puts most of our trip in the FD stay, and since its a Deluxe you get DDP and we never use all our credits unless we do room service or a bunch of double credit ressies..... Wonder if anyone has done this before...... CM stated we might have to change rooms .... Or even resorts.....

I'm really surprised to see that through 11/23 date -- I really would have thought the cut-off would've been 11/21 or 11/22.

This is my dilemma:

I'm arriving 11/23 and have APs (and have 30% bounceback rate the night of 11/23).

Assuming these dates are correct and I can use FD on with a check-in date of 11/23, my trip will cost me about $400 more (because of having to purchase 4 sets of 2-day base tickets and losing the 30% on the first night). HOWEVER, 1) I will have those 2-day tickets to put toward a future trip (they price-bridge these, right?) and 2) I'll be eating better.

If they offer a room only or AP rate, I'm sure it won't be through the entire length of my stay (as I'm there the week of Thanksgiving), but it would save me money and I'd have to see if I'd rather save the money this year or have the benefit of the 2-day passes for future use.

A downside of it being offered through 11/23 while it does benefit me is that it benefits that many more people who may not have necessarily gone but will go for free dining making Thanksgiving week even more crowded than usual.

hahahah I LOVE IT!!!! I feel the same way!! I just ran out to give 2 "disney Loving" co-workers of mine some hugs!! One has her trip planned with a PIN and the other isnt going til 2014. Neither of them were as excited for me as I know all my DIS friends are!!! So to you too!!!!

Any ideas about the RO discount dates? We're missing FD - arrival is Oct 4th. Hoping for RO discounts to cover more dates, but wondering if there is that specific of a rumor on that yet.

It was first reported on **************.net. No exact dates yet, but keep following his site because I am sure they will follow soon. With the RO that came out along with Sept free dining offer, RO had expanded dates, so hopefully that will ring true for this next upcoming offer as well.

Glad this will help so many but I'm sad. We are going the first week of December and our dates aren't covered. I was hoping they would since its after Thanksgiving but befroe Pop Warner week (which FD is covering and I find that weird). Too bad we already bought plane tickets or we'd be changing dates. I told DH we should wait to buy those!!
