So we were supposed to stay at an offsite hotel for the three days before our timeshare stay starts. After talking to friends of ours that are going the same time, we decided to stay at Saratoga Springs instead. Anyone ever stay there? Eat there? Would love to hear all about your favorite parts about it. This will be our first time eating and staying on Disney property for Thanksgiving, so it makes it more exciting for us! We are looking forward to it! Thanks!

Never stayed there but my brother and wife has and they loved it. If you haven't already read it, check out disney food blog. They just released a whole article about eating at wdw during thanksgiving . Ur going to have a blast!!!!

My cousin and her husband are DVC owners and that is their home resort. They LOVE it. I know they have mentioned really enjoying the pool there. We've never been there but since they are meeting us in November we plan on checking it out

Hi all! I'm Laila ("Hi Laila") and I'm currently planning a probably once-in-a-longtime (lifetime?) WDW trip.

I'm an Indonesian, born raised, and living in Indonesia. Way too far from the US. I've been to Tokyo and HK DL. I've also been to DLR, but of course, my ultimate dream is to visit the mothership... The biggest Disney resort of all...

Some time last month, I casually asked DH if there's any chance for us to have a WDW family holiday. Maybe next year? Next millenium? The answer was negative. Of course. Not a surprise since DH is a non-Disney, non-themepark person. Also the cost is too much - coming from Indonesia - and our son is too little (he's currently 11 mos) to make the trip worth it.

On the upside, my husband understands how much I love Disney, so after some talks, he agreed that I should do a solo trip. Ohmagahd. But then something better happened - my bestfriend agreed to come with me. It's gonna be a girls trip. Aaaaah!

So, currently, we're on the very early stage of planning. Our initial dates was in September 2014, as our priorities are low rates and (relatively) low crowds, but we're big wusses regarding hurricanes, so then we changed it to 11 - 21 Nov 2014.

Coming from such faraway country and on a tight budget, we sure have megaloads of homework to do. Wish us luck!

First things first: visa. Hello, US embassy. Sigh.

Today I shopped for some "vacation" clothes... End of season sales are the best... But one of the items was a bathing suit...EEEEEkkkkkk!!!
So here's hoping for nice weather during our month and to losing 5 more lbs!!!!

LOL I feel the same way! I don't like wearing one in my own yard, let alone at a resort with a bunch of people! Trying my best to keep losing all the 'baby weight' ......my son turns 2 next week!!!! lol

When I was there they rang up 14-16 dollars but ask them to apply the coupon and it makes them 11-13 dollars

Sounds just like me (about the yard thing too). My dd just turned 3!! Lol!!! Finally losing and feel great but still feel strange putting on a bathing suit! Lol.

We've already purchased or MVMCP tickets and I'm hoping all of the resorts will be decorated while we are there too.

Absolutely! I actually have started a blog which is right now basically a pre-trip report but I will be updating it while I'm in Japan and when I return. I'll be there for about 3 weeks with one full week at Tokyo Disney.
