From what I've read and experienced, yes it's throughout the day. I remember in a previous group thread some were getting theirs and others were still waiting and they gradually came in or even the next following days. Doesn't sound very positive but I'm holding out hope it will be this afternoon or after lunch. Sad that I'm feeling like I'll never see a cabin number there!! I really am a patient person but this is making me nuts!

We just received our room number for the 9/01 Dream cruise. Booked a Cat 11C gty - We were assigned a Cat 11A

I'm on the Sept 1 sailing and I have a quick question, I don't know if this is going to make sense. I just got my assignment this morning and it's not great so I was wondering if I could upgrade . The problem is that I'm checking to upgrade but the prices are way too high and the category I want is not available. Do you think after they finish assigning the rooms some categories will become available , or am I just dreaming , lol...

Hmm... there may be some changes in availability, but I would tend to doubt that the price would go down at this point. Another option is to wait and try to upgrade at port.

I agree with Lisa - I think it's an awesome location and I'd be pleased. I love Aft and starboard so that would be 2 of my 3 wish items

We booked GTY and were given a HA room and we didn't need it. We tried to get another room with no luck. I asked my TA about upgrading to the next category which I thought would be a few hundred dollars. Surprise! Upgrades are based on what the prices where when you originally booked. You do not pay today's prices. I was able to upgrade for about $120. If the category you want isn't available, I would get prices for the categories that are available and make my decision based on that. Hope this helps.

Booked 7a gty and just got assigned room 10546. Looks to be a 5a just 1 floor below the quiet cove pool area, so that should work nice for us.

Wondering why some 7A were upgraded to category 5 and others were not.

We did not received an upgrade to cat 5, wonder if that had to do with having our dining reservations linked to another family. For those who booked 7A and were upgraded to cat5, did you have your reservations linked to another family or stateroom?

We are sort of neighbors!! Woohoo!! My mom and I had 10566 on the Fantasy and we enjoyed it! There is some noise from above but hopefully it will be minimal for us!

WOOHOO!!!! We had 9010 (deluxe family oceanview) so just a few doors down and we loved it. It was very quiet in that area and it was our first time staying "forward".

I'm not sure why some got upgraded, others did not - there seems to be no reasoning to it. To answer your question, no I don't have any other reservation linked to ours. Perhaps you could call and see what it would cost to upgrade? As another poster mentioned, I'm pretty sure it's based on the rate when you booked so it might not cost that much? I hope it works out for you!


Sorry I'm delayed in posting the info - I think I noticed our assignment a little after 230pm and then got stuck on a call. We were also upgraded to Cat 5A - 10646. I'm very happy to get Aft and starboard and I read quick reports this location was quiet, even though it's under Cabanas. I loved the deck 10 overhang so that doesn't bother me - just hope it's not too noisy. I don't have any complaints - very pleased!
