Hi!

Can anyone tell me what would be a good location to ask for when booking a family suite?? Thanks so much!! :)

All the suites are located in Jazz and Calypso. The only requests you could make would be for a floor, to be facing the pool or a quiet location. Last time we stayed in Calypso we asked to be 'not facing the pool' and we got the third floor behind the elevator. It was a great spot.

Do all of the rooms have the privacy curtain between the bathroom and sleeping area?

With the closure of ASSp food court, Disney plans to bus people to Music and Movies for food, do you think the ASMu food court will be swamped in September? Contemplating moving to POP.

I'm worried about this too but my DD is way too excited about staying at Music and swimming in a guitar shaped pool, I couldn't change if I wanted to. I don't think we'll eat at the resort food court too much... hopefully

Pop has about half the number of rooms of all 3 All Stars combined so because of it's size it is always very busy.

I'm not totally sure but I think that there are usually teams staying at sports in September so you might want to consider moving to another resort.

My fave is Broadway. I love the walk past the little courtyard fountain and the buildings look so nice lit up at night. Close to the piano pool as well.

According to your ticker, we will be there at the same time. However, we will be staying at ASSp. Just as the refurbishment gets underway. Then in September, I will return to ASMu with my older DD. My family can't figure out why we like All Stars over POP. We've stayed there multiple times, as well. DD says she will only move to POP, if we can be put in the 50's section. The new menu at POP adds to the consideration. Originally, DD and I wanted to stay at Movies, but there were no standard rooms available for FD during our time frame. We wanted to try a new resort and be in the Mighty Ducks section.

What is your fav building and why

I've stayed in Broadway, Calypso and by the boots twice. All have been nice locations, due to pool proximity. Calypso might have an edge, because it was the shortest walk ever to our room from the food court. And we got a lot of towel animals on that stay.

We've stayed in all of the buildings except Jazz and Broadway is our favorite. It's close to the main building and pool but not too close so it's quiet overall. Also not usually crowded (Calypso is preferred, so folks who want a standard room close by generally request Jazz). We like the look of Broadway as well. Rock is our least favorite.

I've been in Calypso and Country Fair. They were both fine. Even from the back I didn't find the distance to be too much. I've also been lucky that neither of my rooms faced the pool. I prefer to not face the pool for the sound level.

I am currently booked here standard in Jan 2014. My only request will be close to transportation as my mom will be with me.

My DH and I will be staying here for our Disneymoon in September :) My family and I have stayed at all of the All Star resorts and this one is definitely our favorite!

My worry is also in regards to the busing of Sports guests to the food court. I bet this will also affect the lines for the buses to the parks in the morning, since most people hop on the bus after having breakfast.

I am curious to hear reports of such things after the refurb starts!

I skimmed all the posts here and didn't see this asked or answered:

Is there any way to tell in advance if there are any large groups booked at any of the All Stars?

I know there are often cheer competition groups, Pop Warner in early December, etc. I would rather not be there at the same time as large groups of minimally supervised kids.

I am contemplating staying Oct. 27 - Nov. 5.

Thanks!

I remember someone asking a similar question in a different thread a few months back and another poster recommended checking the events schedule on the Wide World of Sports website to get an idea of what upcoming tournaments or competitions might be scheduled.
