Disney's Magical Express -- Luggage Tag Info

Is there any way to change Flight information online for an existing DME reservation?

United just changed our return flight number and time from 6:50pm to 7am...
:furious: So much for that extra day...

Just call them and let them know.

but my dd and I are in a debate. ;-) I've gotten many Disney luggage tags in the past, and never have I had a problem actually attaching them....until now.

We have those adorable red/orange Mickey ones, but I'm having trouble! In the past, they kind of slit down the middle, right? And that's how they attach. My dd insists that there is no split down the middle, but it's simply hooked on the one end with the plastic "notch". Am I making ANY sense???

Assuming I've gotten my question worded correctly, who is right?? (neither?) lol, thanks!

Yes, they changed the design, and I'm not sure for the better.

The old design was the plastic piece that yes, you made sure to split in the middle and then create a loop around the tag itself.

The new design has that notch that is pretty easy to attach, but doesn't seem as likely to stay notched.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but can you use DME for DVC stays?

Thanks!

I called Disney about a month ago and added DME to my reservation. Shortly after that I got a new e-mail reservation confirmation but no where in the e-mail does it actually show DME. Likewise, when I look at myDisneyExperience I can see my hotel and my dining reservations, but still no mention of DME. Should I be seeng something? I hate to bother reservations with a non-problem. Also, I see lots of references to "participating airlines" but havent seen an actual lists of them. Is there one?

In myDisneyexperience, I see under hotel reservation, airport transportation. There it shows magical express.

Check the hotel res info on the site.

FWIW if you haven't OK'd that, you can call them and see about being put on another flight. Check out the available flights first, so you know what you want to be put on, and then call.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into that and see what options are available.

Thanks. I'll call DME closer to the time of our trip (about a month out) as there may be more changes.

We have several people staying with us for our next DVC stay in November. I received the yellow luggage tags for my two 8 year old great neices who are flyng in with a friend and his wife and children. The rest of us are driving. I received the yellow tags for my two GN. The friend received his yellow tags with a piece of paper for instruction on how to get to ME after leaving the plane. Neither set of tags included the booklet I am used to also receiving for boarding ME. Does ME still send a booklet or just the piece of paper with directions from your terminal to ME.
Thanks Susan

I can tell you my recent experience. The DME info was combined into my resort reservation booklet. At the DME area they scanned a bar code on the back of the booklet to get our reservation info.

If, for some reason, you don't get that full packet, with the vouchers inside it, you can just go to the DME counter and they will print you up vouchers there. I've had to do that in the past.
Although I have to say that getting the DME luggage tags now is really early!!! I have a stay in Sept that I have nothing for yet.

My flight gets in to Orlando at 6 40 pm... I know the ME bag service runs until 10 pm. Will I get my bag the day I arrive or will I get it the next day because it can take up to four hours for bags to arrive in your room? I have always flew on an early flight!

What runs until 10:00 is DME picking up luggage from the airport, not your luggage being delivered to you. (Meaning that if your flight arrives at 10 pm or later, you'll need to retrieve your luggage from baggage claim.) With your flight arriving at 6:40, you should be at your resort by 8. If you don't mind getting your luggage delivered between about 11:00 and 12:00, then you can get it then. But if that's later than you want to stay awake, just make sure you have what you need for the first night and next morning in your carry-on and ask the front desk to hold your luggage until morning.

we're 51 days out and received our ME tags....just wondering if this is how early they are sending things out now?

51 days seems early to me. For my trip this month I got my vacation package mailing including DME tags about 4 weeks prior.

Did you receive a DME-only voucher/tags mailing?

Actually I received 2 envelopes from magical express in the mail on the same day. The first one contained the booklet that has the vouchers, our flight info and directions on where to go at the airport and a set of tags for the whole family. The second envelope was just a paper with our address on it and another set of tags for the whole family. Now we each have 2 tags each. :confused3

I was expecting the next mailing to be our luggage tags that are supposed to come with our package. Idk what's going on haha

Renting a car at MCO but returning the car early to one of the hotels on hotel row.

Taking Magical Express on the way home, do we need to get our luggage tags ahead of time or can we wait until we get there to arrange that?

Is Flying Southwest going to be a problem?

1. Taking Magical Express on the way home, do we need to get our luggage tags ahead of time or can we wait until we get there to arrange that?

2. Is Flying Southwest going to be a problem?

1. The luggage tags are for using DME on the way there; they're not needed for the trip home.

2. In what way?
