I think that all of the longhouses now have automatic doors. Since you will have an ECV, I would suggest requesting first floor Rorotonga, Samoa, Tokelau, Rapa Nui or Tahiti. Reason?? Because all have standard garden views and all are central between GCH, pools, bus stop and TTC. Also, if memory serves me correctly, the exit from the GCH toward Tonga, Aotearoa and Fiji would be a pain in the rear for an ECV because it has a long and winding ramp. The exit on the other side is just an easy straight out to sidewalks....I hope that makes sense.

ETA: Tahiti and Rapa Nui have not yet been rehabbed so Rorotonga, Samoa, and Tokelau are your best bets.

I agree with all this, and would add Niue as another excellent choice. It's a small building between Samoa and the Grand Ceremonial house, with pool areas on both sides. No 3rd floor there, but for a 1st floor it would be very convenient with nice views. It has been refurbished.

Which has a better TPV poly or cr?

We're not staying TPV, but from what we can see from the beach, club lounge, etc., I would definitely say CR had a much better (certainly MUCH closer) TPV, but I now think the Poly is a much better resort overall. The rooms (refurbed ones) and grounds are much nicer. So I would say it depends on what's more important to your family -- the castle or everything else. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if the Brazilian Tour Groups (BTGs) are still being seen at the Poly? We arrive in 25 days and I just want to mentally prepare if they're still around!

Eek! We just switched the first half of our trip from pop to Poly--CL, no less!! I am so excited. We had a couple things happen around here that made us feel like life is worth living...not like you are not living if you go to Pop--not at ALL!!! but we have wanted to try the Poly and decided there's no time like the present. Anyway, I am SO EXCITED. I have read about the Poly lots, but really need to get moving because our trip is in two weeks. :rotfl:

Did I mention how excited I am? :) The kids are going to flip, too--esp. about the CL part (they aren't going to learn about that nugget of info until we get there).

WHOOP!

Fourth of July fireworks. Or 6th of July, in this case. Much better just outside the Hawaii building than from inside the lounge last night.

There is still a group of them here in Tokelau but haven't really seen or heard too much of them in the last few days.

I heard that at the club level they have the Kona Salad for dinner, and I know that the salad has blue cheese. I was wondering if someone knew whether the blue cheese was on the side or mixed into the salad?

Thank you!

I didn't eat it but saw it and it looked like everything was mixed in it.
