We're on the 9/1 Dream sailing as well and are anxiously awaiting our assignment! I was thinking early next week, too, but DCL is still offering the special price for 7A GTY. It went away last week but then popped up again a few days ago and was still there earlier today. It seems like it would add some complexity at DCL's end to go ahead with the assignments if people are still booking GTY, but who knows at this point!!

After I got my gty assignment I noticed that Cat 11 opened up again...so I wouldn't worry...they may still assign your cabin even with gty available.

Well, I'm sailing in December and I'm GTY, the sale on sailings out of Galveston.

When I booked 5E GTY it wasn't on the website the CM told me about it when I called to re-schedule my Aug. trip to a Sept..

Are you asking about IGT, OGT, VGT? I haven't seen too many of these discounted rates yet for fall. A few have popped up, but nothing that makes me want to book a last-minute deal. The other posters are referring to regular rate GTY rooms

Absolutely. When I booked, I booked a 6A and as soon as I booked, it disappeared. Then the next day I was assigned a 4C room and the 6A reappeared.

I have no clue on the logic, but I'm not complaining.

So are y'all checking the availability on your cruises and guessing what you might be assigned based on that?

Has anyone been able to guess correctly?

Our cruise is late October and currently all categories below 5A are down to just a few available cabins or GTY status - could that mean our assignment will be 5A or above?

We booked (2) cabins for our family of 5 for the August 18th sailing on the Dream. One 11c and a 11b. I would have booked (2) category 11c's or a family oceanview stateroom but it wasn't available at the time.

No pixie dust for us. We received just what we paid for. The category 11c is on deck 2 and the category 11b is on deck 7.

Is it possible we could still get some pixie dust at the port and they place us in two cabins near each other?

August 31st Fantasy here and still nothing. I'm refreshing probably every 5 minutes at this point. AHHHHH!

From what I understand, cabins don't usually change once they're assigned. You could look into upgrading one of them if there's anything open.

Speaking for me, no. I show every category verandah available on our sailing and I believe there are only 26 cat 7a's so mathematically speaking quite a few will be upgraded from the 7a GTY. I'm not counting on it and I'll be fine as long as we don't get one of the teeny tiny verandahs on deck 5. It's the chance we take so hopefully the odds are in our favor. I'm just excited to see where we end up!!

The GTY cabins seem to be assigned day 55-50 so several of us were hoping for today since it's day 55 for us on the 9/1 sailing. If not, we will keep checking

The two 7As with undersized verandahs are 5188 and 5688. We're waiting for our 7A GTY assignment as well, and I'm hoping we don't get one of those!
