Poly Pool

Help, just read that the Poly Pool will close in January. Can anyone confirm this? I just booed a stay there, Jan 7 - 13, 2014.
I know that I can continue to search but didn't know if anyone knew this to be fact. Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe I saw it on the Disney site that the pool was closed. Don't remember the dates.

I believe Tikiman posted that the pool is due for rehab in Jan-check his facebook for the exact dates he heard!

I just replied in the other thread, but will post here just in case. So far the information is that the pool will be closed for refurbishment starting on 9/9/13 and ending 9/20/13. Hopefully this won't interfere with too many people and everyone can still enjoy their stay at the Poly!

According to Tikiman, this is incorect and confirmed the pool will not be closing till January, but who knows.

I can understand. I am just viewing the information that is given to me through Disney as I am a travel agent with them. (If I cannot post that information, I will quickly remove and apologize for doing so!) While it shows to me that those are the dates, they very well could have changed them and have not provided the updated information to us.

Tikiman talked directly to Polynesian Recreation to find out about the push back to January date. Guest Services is still reporting September. I would lean towards the Poly Rec team's word, but you never know.

Thank you for your replies. I have heard closings both in September and January. Not quite sure what to do. Thinking that I might be changing resorts to the Wilderness. Really wanted to stay at Poly. Also thinking that it might be too cool to even use the pool in January. What to do, what to do, what to do?????

I feel so stuck!! we are going to the Poly the last week in Sept. I thought for sure the pool would not close until January, but if there is any chance of it closing in Sept....with 3 kids under 8, I will be forced to find another hotel, I just can't chance it. But what if it doesn't close in Sept and I switch hotels....we will be sad ugh!! what to do, what to do...

Just called the Poly and the 407#, they both state that the pool will not be under construction/re-ferb in Sept. damn rumors....she did say to check official sites.
