I spoke with a cast member yesterday inquiring about California Grill and she told me that the Candlelight Processional dinner reservations are going to be excepted starting July 9th.

Just thought I would share!!!princess:

I saw Alfre Woodard last year after my first choice Olivia Newton John cancelled. I'm glad I saw it, but I am not pants-a-fire about ever seeing it again. My impression is that the candlelight dinner packages are wholly unnecessary and expensive for the "benefit". I got excellent seats without booking the dinner.

I was also told July 9th by a few sources for the reservations for prosessional.. I have heard as far as seats go it is a matter of a different line if you have the package.

With Disney dining Plans the mea is 2 meals but the is not a cost issue as someone above mentioned I guess??

Can it be used for The Candlelight Processional?:confused3

No.

From tablesinwonderland.com :

Participating Restaurants are subject to change without notice.

* Excludes all Chef’s Tables at Disney Signature Restaurants. The Tables in Wonderland discount cannot be used in combination with any other discount and is not valid for Fantasmic Dinner Package, Food and Wine Festival events, Candlelight Packages, or other Special Events.

OK here is another question. I have gotten mixed answers on this one. Do you pay when you make the reservation or when you actually dine?

In years past, I have used my Disney Reward card so it was definitely at the table.

I was one of those lucky ones that made ADRs during the "glitch" earlier this week.....and I had to give a credit card HOLD....but it clearly said I'd only be charged if I don't cancel my reservations 2 days before the reservation time.

If you book an ADR specifically for Candlelight Processional than you are "guaranteed" a seat......you still want to get in line for the "best" seats as they do let you pick your own seat. You are given a slip of paper to show to get in. I can't remember if it was 10 minutes before or maybe 15....but just like Fantasmic, if you don't show up they will then open it up to those without ADRs who have been waiting in line.

So...if you want to be sure that you have a seat.....get the ADR....if you are willing to stand in line a bit longer in the hopes that you'll get a seat, don't. You can also hear it if you just hang around outside....seeing is a little more difficult as the CMs keep making you move around to keep the path clear for those trying to get through. But, we have sat near the building on the ground and just listened a couple times......not quite the same experience, but it was peaceful and relaxing....and since we'd see it a few nights before we didn't feel it was a lesser experience, just different.

I will say that different narrators definitely make or break the experience....I think that's why Neil Patrick Harris is so popular....his voice and style are quite appropriate to the story being told. Have to say that Whoopi Goldberg, who I adore in Ghost, STNG, etc, was definitely not my favorite to listen to (thankfully she was one of the sit-outside-and-just-listen). I wouldn't say I hated it....just that her voice was a bit jarring and didn't seem to fill the peace and tranquility I was looking for in the story.

One that I soooo wanted to hear was Gary Sinise....I'd listen to him read the phone book. Alas, he has never been there during our time.

Any idea what time the website/CS will allow reservations tonight/tomorrow? I have no idea how quickly these will go and I want to make sure I get a reservation, the processional is at the top of my must see list. I've probably tried 20 times already today just incase it went live earlier than expected but I just keep getting the no tables available box.

I have a question about wheelchair seating for the candlelight processional. Is it worth doing the dinner package? Is there better seating with the dinner package or is it the same?

We use wheelchair seating and the dinner package. They actually have a separate queue line for those with a dinner package AND a wheelchair, and you get in first, filling in front wheelchair spots first. The only downside is that they only allow 2 others to sit with the wheelchair person, so anyone else would need to get in normal dinner package standby or bum a spot with a wheelchair party of 2.

Will they announce the narrators in the morning at the same time the ADRs are available? Maybe they have already announced it and I missed it but I have looked. We are there for over a week and I wanted to reserve our package based on who we wanted to see.

I was told that reservations could be made online starting at midnight. I tried until 12:30 but could not get anything to come up.

I just tried both online and on phone starting at 7 and was able to make reservations, but I couldnt get anything for the 5-6:00 range. I gave up waiting on hold...

was the 5-6:00 range sold out or was I given bad info?

I was able to get a 5:15 at Biergarten, I had to leave the time as "no time..." to get it though, everytime I selected 4:20 (which was the latest selection) the latest time available was showing as 4:35.

We got 5:30 at Coral Reef with 8:15 processional. We still don't know who speaker will be its TBA, but hey at least we got the reservation. I can't wait!!!

I called back and waited on hold for what seemed like forever. I was able to get 2 times in the 5-6 range that definately did NOT show up when I searched online. Not sure what the glitch was or if that is normal. I guess I now know to always call and confirm availability...

I called this morning and got a 5:15 at San Angel with 8:15 Processional on December 15th. Yay!!!
