Autograph book ideas

Thanks to suggestions on the boards, I ordered the Disney Junior Encyclopedia of Characters for my friend's son to use instead of an autograph book. It was around $11.00, and they loved it!
We have a trip coming up soon and I just went to order one for my two kids....and the price went up to $41.00! I have no idea why. I am hoping that someone knows of another book to have them sign or has any other cute ideas for character signings.
Thanks in advance!

What I am doing for DD this trip in Dec. I went to Snapfish and ordered 4x6 pictures of the characters (ordered in Matte finish) and then I am putting them in a photo album so we can take out the picture and have the character sign it, when we get home I will combine it to a book with the pic I take with my DD and the character. Found this forum:

I know somewhere that a lady already has all of them loaded up in a shared account on Snapfish so then you can just order them right on that site without hardly any work.

this cost me very little- and they are really cute! I will see if I can find that link also.

ok try this link instead:

disneyautographpages.snapfish.com/snapfish

this should let you join the group!

you will have to cut and paste into search area to bring it up.

Wow! Great idea that's really easy. I never would've thought to do this. Thanks for sharing :thumbsup2

Had to share - DDIL is working on these for our grandkids for the upcoming trip - she used Disney scrapbooking paper and the Disney Cricuit shapes - she is a teacher and waiting for some book bindings to come in for another project and she'll use those, but you could use hole punches and rings, too. She's going to laminate the covers -

I went to the Creative Disdesigns boards and they have created 4 x 6 character autograph cards. I saved the ones I wanted into a file on my computer. I also requested an Autograph book cover with my niece and nephews names.

Then I made a photobook at Wal-greens with the 4x 6 cards. They have disney paper for the photobooks which is wonderful!!!! My niece and nephew had so much fun with them because the live characters would talk to them about their book.

Walgreens always has a coupon to use also which is great.

These are so cute! Thanks for sharing the pics.

If there is a character you need a picture of I may have it in my personal pictures as my Dh does his book with characters by themselves.

I was at Disneyland last month and saw someone have the characters sign a matte frame. I think that's a great idea and we may do that next time.

I did this last fall and it worked out great, we used sharpie markers in blue, black, green and red on a large mat, we would pick a color for the character and point to a general area that we would like signed (so we could balance out the colors, the space on the mat etc). We only took them to character meals but we had LOTS of those! I put the 2 mats in a 2 gallon heavy ziplock bag along with the markers. I want to say the mat was 11X14 . Might be a little harder to carry around in the parks but doable. The next time I think we will take smaller mats and group the signatures by themes ie Pooh and Friends, Fab 5, Princesses etc.

For the last 4trips my daughter has bought a white disney hat as soon as she's in the park and has the characters sign in differant color sharpies. The characters love to tease her with the hat, some draw pictures, she usually gets 35-40 signatures, its covered in them. She has them all hung up in a row in her room. She wears them to school for hat days and the other kids love them. As opposed to a signature book that I feel would just get shelved she wanted something differant and this worked out great
