Hi, I have 2 silly questions, but, nevertheless, they are things that I've been thinking of. First, the 2nd floor rooms that do not have balconies, are those sliding glass doors that open to let the breeze in, or are they all permanently closed? Lastly, are the lei's that are given at check in fresh flowers or are they fake/silks?
Just wondering...... Thanks!

We just left Poly CL on Monday - 2nd floor. The sliding glass doors could not be opened. Both my husband and I tried. Could it be that they changed this with the renovations?

Been sitting out by the volcano pool all morning. Have totally fallen in love! There's plenty people about but not overly crowded.
On a side note, they are bringing in all the patio furniture into the rooms to stop it being taken to watch the fireworks over the next 2 days.

If someone stole my furniture... I would get my broom. I paid to stay here, no one is taking my chair.

Book for May 2014 - room only, was told that we got the 2014 rack rates. Booked Club Level garden view. Woohoo!

Hi all -
I was wondering if I am able to borrow a life-jacket for DD2 for the pool or if they charge a fee for it? Any information on this would be great! Thanks!

Yep. I have one for my Ds. You just help yourself, they are beside the volcano pool.

Yes, we actually got a voice message last night saying that they'd be bringing our patio furniture in today. Unfortunately our chairs were stolen last night before we went outside to watch Wishes. After the show ended and people cleared out, my husband went searching and found 6 chairs on one patio, so he took 2 of the chairs. It looked like the room was empty, so we were thinking that people helped themselves to chairs and a patio to watch the show. I guess this week gets pretty crazy at the Poly!

Do you know if the life jackets for the little ones have the belt that goes through the legs or just the few straps that go around their chest? We have one for my DS that has the strap that goes through his legs to help keep it from riding up. I'd rather not have to pack it if I don't have to.

Aloha and welcome to the June 2013 edition of the Polynesian Resort Information Thread!

Rob, many thanks for the great job you do to keep us up to date on our favorite Disney Resort!

Yes, the life jackets have the belt through the legs.

Another quick question that I've been wondering about....

What size are the in-room safes? Are they large enough to fit a laptop inside? (mine is 15.5")

You couldn't roll in a buggy to our patio, it's blocked by plants. We are on the pool side, we are very close to the main door of the longhouse though and it's incredibly convenient for everything! We have never stayed here before and were a bit unsure of locations but I think Tokelau is a fantastic choice. x

Thanks so much for this info! :thumbsup2

We just checked in today to Poly CL for 4 nights. We transferred from the Beach Club after 6 nights. Definitely a different feel and vibe from BC. The lounge is nice, bustling with people. It has a wonderful view of the castle. Check in was amazing! It was raining out and we arrived around 3:30 from Animal Kingdom. Told the CM out front that we were checking in CL and she called for another CM right away who loaded us and our luggage that was transferred from the BC all onto a stretched golf cart and delivered us right to Hawaii. While we checked in he brought our stuff to the room. Everything was very nice!

Now, I just have to say that I doubt a room has a better view than ours! (if someone can explain how to post pics from an iPad I'll post the proof! Lol) We are in room 3513 with the most amazing theme park view! Now if we can get this rain to go away so that we can enjoy the cabana tomorrow! :)

We are across the hall & one room over...hope your stay us magical.
