Free Dining Extension ~ Oct-Dec

Running numbers, waiting to see if FDing is extended. Anyhow.....not sure whether to go ahead and book my reservations for the current free dining and then move them if the offer is extended, or do you get charged to move your dates?
2 rooms @ POP (2 adults, 3 Disney adults and 1 child), 4 day base tickets
Scenario 1 using current 20% off for just the check in night: 3656.52
Scenario 2 using that current 20% off for first night (only night it covers) and adding/paying for the DDP 6017.40
Scenario 3 using the current free dining, backing our vacation up a week and upgrading to the DDP from QSDP 4502.70

So you can see the FDing saves us a TON.....just not sure if it would cost us more to make reservations for the current FDing and then move them, is it 50.00 per room to move dates?

You can modify your reservation up to 45 days in advance of your check in date with no penalty.

Has anyone who has gotten the pin had any sucess with calling and they have availibility even though the web site says nothing is available?

I had 2 rooms at por, booked in Feb, received the pin and had to move I could not apply it to the rooms that I already had. First they put me at the pop with three rooms, really did not seem to save that much, we had someone back out, so I had them move me to CB, all that was open was the pirate rooms, I did not want to loose out on the pin, just in case they are not offering fd to the public. It is getting very expensive to go to Disney, so every bit of savings is a plus, and with 5 kids, we need it.

Wouldn't hurt to call & check. Sometimes the Cm can work some magic or see availability not shown online. Worst that could happen is they say "no".

My PIN stopped working for our August dates one night too. What was weird was that 2 hours earlier I could see several categories available at every resort. Tons of options. Then.. NOTHING. I thought it might be a glitch but it's been weeks and nothing came back for my dates. I haven't bothered to call because I am fine with what I booked but it's really odd. None of my other pins did this and there is no way that everything booked up in 2 hours.
So, either my pin stopped working (maybe because I was already booked) OR they booked as much as they wanted and pulled the offer entirely.
Very strange.

I do not know how they did the pins this year, received one once before and could us it on the room that we already had booked, had to move to a more expensive room, is this how they planed it so that you would have to upgrade.

if you just want to post something in an existing thread, click on "post reply" (bottom left side of screen). If you want to quote someone & post a reply, click on "quote" button in the post you want to quote. To quote more than 1 post, click on the " button in each post that you want to quote until you get to last one you want to quote, then click on "quote" button in that post.

Thanks for the information. I still can not work this out. So gutted, would love to be a part of the community. It is 3:32am so perhaps it is difficult because my brain is asleep like I should be. I am going to try again in the morning.

Another day and another round of mail from Disney Destinations. I got two things from them yesterday. One was a booklet with ideas for our upcoming trip and the other thing was that mailing with the three digit pin that basically does nothing.

I haven't received emails from them in years. Ill have to sign up for them again. I guess they stopped sending them because I wasn't planning anything. I still get mailings from them every so often though.

The FD pin code is not the 3 digit code that some people have received. The pin codes for FD that I have received were 15 numbers and very clearly said that it was for free dining. Good luck w/ the FD fairies!

I don't know why but lately I'm not even getting the teaser emails or the 3 digit code ones. They had been several weeks ago sending me all kinds of junk but last few weeks..nothing. Come on GP offer
