Soooooo torn....please help

Debating between CR and Polynesian for next trip. For life of me I cannot decide. DH ruled out split stay or that would make it easy!

Pros for poly
- we know we love it there
- zero entry pool for youngest dd
- beach to watch wishes
- theming is great
- monorail

Pros for CR
-all in one building
- not sure about theming for kids, but I would love to stay there!
- walk to MK

Cons
-not sure ???

Walk to MK is priority for us at this point with such little kids. It means if we have to leave MK in a hurry, we don't have to wait on a bus or the monorail.

We thought the CR was more than comfortable and you *could* do a MK view to see the fireworks from your room. Watching fireworks from you balcony every night with an adult beverage is really nice!

The Poly just seems so dark and dated to me. If you have stayed at the Poly go for the CR and then, you'll know which you prefer.

Do you love the TPV? I know it is subjective but do you feel it is worth the extra money? Do your kids love it? I would hate to be disapointed with it.

We love the Poly, but there are some cons ...........
No hot tub ............. wish they would put one in some time !
Depending when you are planning your trip.........there is a very good likelyhood that after construction is finished at Grand Floridian...........Poly DVC is next. No schedule is out, but throughout next summer is a very real possibilty.....just something to think about.

Never stayed at Contemp. yet...........but its on the list !

I personally think that waking up and falling asleep staring at the castle is truly magical, but other people can't see past the parking lot many floors beneath you. And just know that the CR pool is on the lake side of the building. I'd try CR, I love that resort.

We love both. I don't think you could go wrong with either one. If you ave already stay at the Poly why not give CR a try and then you will know which one you like better?

We stayed at the Contemporary a few years ago and loved it. When we decided to do Deluxe again this year DH wanted to do CR again until I showed him some pictures of the Poly. So, we are going to try out the Poly this fall.

Have you ever done Polynesian club level? THE BEST! Located in the Hawaii building and it is convienance galore. We do garden view club when theres a discount, lagoon view is just $$$$$$$$.

I'd be interested in BLT (1 brm because studio looks ridiculously small) but not CR, can't imagine the theming can beat the Polynesian. Good luck with your decision!

We have stayed at the Poly 2x and the CR many more. We like that the rooms are more updated, that the toilet is separated by a door from the rest of the bathroom. Poly does not have this separation. The beds at the CR are AMAZING. Best hotel bed I have ever slept on. Additionally, the walking distance and the fact that everything is under one roof really makes the CR our favorite resort.

Oh and don't forget that the Polynesian has re-done the bathrooms , bedding, carpet, and paint! I can't wait to see it!!

Agree with the PP who said the Poly is dark and outdated. I would try the CR, especially if you never stayed there.

The poly rooms are redone so they are not as dark. I dont think you can go wrong with either. What theming would your family like better?

I've never stayed at The Poly, but we've stayed at CR twice, both with a TPV. We LOVE the CR and would be hard-pressed to try anywhere else! It feels like home to us now. We love the walk to the MK, having the monorail run right through the hotel, the arcade, shops and pool! Our favorite thing is sitting on our balcony and watching Wishes every night! Before we stayed here, The Poly was always my dream resort, but now I'm just dreaming of another stay at CR!
