No classic Donald for meet and greets?

Please tell me I'm wrong....I can't seem to find any place in any park or restaurant where Donald meets in his classic blue sailor suit. Donald is my youngest son's favorite character but when I show him pics of Donald at Tusker House or the sideshow tent he doesn't react. When I show him pics of classic donald, he goes nuts. I've been looking forward to seeing his reaction when he meets Donald and if he's not in blue, it's just a duck to him.

Unfortunately no blue suit Donald. However, in Epcot, Donald has blue suit on, Mexican hat and Mexican blanket over it. I know, a little sad.

I feel ya--this was a big issue for us too last year--but for Minnie. My daughter LOVES Minnie, but the Minnie at the M & G was NOT in her classic red & white OR pink & white polka dot dress, but some other outfit (can't even remember what), and it just was NOT the same. Sad here too. Wish they would keep them in there classic outfit/dress for M&Gs.

Boo....when he sees a pic of Donald in anything other than his blue suit, he just says duck. When he sees him in the classic outfit, he calls him quack quack and he sounds just like Donald's squawking quack....that would have been an awesome character interaction :(

DD is a huge Donald fan too. I was extremely disappointed to find out we can't meet him any where in his blue sailor outfit bathe closest you can get is the move it celebrate parade at MK he has a party hat on. Not sure how easy this is going to be though with a 2 year old :/

Oh, no! Donald in his blue sailor suit was at the Character Spot in Epcot, but now I think only Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto meet there. That's a bummer!

If you want to head over to Cape May for Breakfast...Donald has a sailor outfit on just on his shirt has waves on it for the beach theme , but does have the sailor hat on :)

It's not the classic outfit but it's super cute and it's much better than his Fantasyland attire! ::yes::

So not helpful, but the last time I saw him in his traditional outfit was during the Princess Marathon. :worried:

She's in her classic outfit in the Epcot character spot! (may have been closed for refurb the last time you were there)

I think Daisy is the fortune teller. Minnie is there with poodles ... she's supposed to be the "pretty girl with the trained poodles" or something.

Keep in mind that it might be very different when he actually MEETS Donald. When the Donald is living, breathing, moving ... he will come to life and be a lot more real to your son. The photo is one thing ... the real character is totally another. My guess is that your son will be thrilled either way.

It's not an M & G, but I believe he's in his sailor suit for Mickeys Philharmagic... At least that's how I remember it. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

They have changed Donald's outfit at DHS, and he no longer meets there in hit blue sailor suit.

We are not happy that you can't get a picture with Donald anywhere at WDW in his classic outfit. Not really happy that there is no longer anywhere at MK that you can get a photo with Minnie in her regular dress either- you can at EPCOT though. Don't get us started on the lack of a traditional meet and greet anywhere at WDW with Belle in her yellow dress either.

Just a warning about sideshow Donald at MK- he is a snake charmer and they have giant snake statues on either side of him with big dazed eyes. When we were there, we saw more than one smaller child freak out and refuse to get anywhere near Donald because of those snake statues. The are done really cute, but I guess when you are a little kid a giant snake statue taller than you isn't exactly something you are willing to get near or turn your back on so your picture can be taken. Even DD, who was 6 and a little older than the ones freaking out, had some issues with the set up. DD hates snakes, and she refused to take any pictures at all with Donald until the photopass photographer promised to crop it where the snake statues could not be seen in the photo.
