Took my DD to Cape May yesterday for an early birthday celebration. She LOVES Minnie Mouse and my passes expired in March (might be a while before I can afford them again ) so I wanted to do the next best thing which was a character meal. She LOVED IT.. I loved the food. And so did my Boyfriend who I am still trying to introduce to the magic in little bits. He doesn't understand my obsession but goes along with it without complaint . He text me today telling me he as craving Mickey Waffles . So, of course I want to take advantage of his new found desire for ANYTHING that is Disney related (even if it is a waffle).
I know that Whispering Canyon has an all you can eat platter but is that the only other option of that sort aside from Trails End breakfast buffet? That ISN'T a Character Meal - can't afford that too often . We live about 90 mins away so going for a day isn't an issue plus we have SeaWorld passes so if we couldn't find enough Disney stuff to entertain him we could head over there like yesterday.
Can anyone tell me if the food is as good as at Cape May? And does anyone know the CURRENT price for Trails End? I am seeing on wdwinfo that it is $13.99 for adults which I find a little hard to believe during the summer, and is it any lower (if it is more than $13.99) come the fall?
We obviously aren't hopping right back in the car for breakfast but would like to know so I can start working on some plans to return and maybe get him to find another piece of magic along the way. One step at a time with him
Also - it isn't that he dislikes Disney - he has just always had bad experiences there because of the people he has gone with. Hoping to change that perspective sometime this fall with Food and Wine.. plus the different perspective from an adult going to taking a kid that is fully in love with the magic.
