Do resorts sell cases of water?

I know this Is probably a dumb question, but I was just wondering if we can buy cased bottled water when staying on Disney property. I priced out garden grocer, but they seem really expensive, high delivery charge and minimum amount to order. I just can't stomach the Florida sulfur water.:(

I don't believe so. Have you checked on the price for walmart to deliver it to your resort? I believe it's cheaper for the water itself and only $0.99 for shipping/delivery. I've seen others post about this before.

Update: I got curious for my future trip and did some searching... apparently Costco does as well for no delivery fee (if you're a member). Here's a recent thread with some other info.

Thanks for the tip. I will look into it. I guess I look for a walmart in Orlando?
Anyone do this before?

We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarters June 7-14. I almost fell over when I visited the gift shop and saw that a 24-case of MINI bottled water cost $16.99. :confused3 ridiculous.

We spent the week prior with relatives in Melbourne FL, so we still had one day left with our rental car. We shopped at Target and purchased 3 cases of regular size bottled water for 3.99 each case (along with many other items like oatmeal, granola bars, bagels, poptarts, Gatorade, etc.)

I would try any means possible to purchase whatever snacks and drinks you can to avoid buying at the resort. We were able to keep our drink, breakfasts, and snack purchases to a minimum.

If I remember correctly, someone posted somewhere that local Staples store has free delivery and they do sell cases of water. We also utilized Papa John delivery right to the resort lobby.

Good luck!

We ordered water as well as other things from Walmart. Just place an order as usual and then ship it to the resort. There is a thread with all the addresses to the different resorts. It was so easy and they delivered it to our room. I think we got free delivery with a $50 order. We ordered snacks and other things as well.

Awesome to know about Costco! I've also read on here if you are a Staples Reward member than they deliver it for free.

Last May we stayed at ASMo and I got quite dehydrated the first few days of our trip. In desperation, I checked the resort gift shop and sure enough, they sold cases of water (found in the coolers).

I can't remember the exact price, but I'm quite sure it was around $24. Yes, that's expensive, considering I can get a case at my local grocery store for $1.99! But it's Disney and it was still cheaper per bottle than buying it in the parks.

When we stayed at POP in years past, we have had it shipped to the resort, or hiked to the Hess near Downtown Disney.

We are staying at BCV this time around and don't think we can have anything shipped due to the Convention Center rules. We will be taking a trip to the Hess near the BW for water and likely milk/juice for my kids.

Yes you can buy cases of bottled water in most resort gift shops. We paid about $16 for it. Hefty but much cheaper than buying in the parks & we didn't want the hassle of ordering & having it delivered.

Walmart Delivers to Disney? How do you get a shopping list and have them Deliver?

Go to their website and add the items you want to your cart. When you checkout and pay you can specify where to have your order delivered.

No, you are purchasing it online but rather than shipping it to your home, you are shipping it to your resort. If you do a search in the forums, you can find a list of addresses for the resorts. I think there's even multiple water delivery threads about this. If the water arrives ahead of you, bell services will store it for you. You'll have to call down for it when you check-in. Amazon and Staples are also frequently used for this, in addition to Wal Mart and Costco.

Another grocery delivery service is Wegoshop but like Garden Grocer, they are expensive with their minimum order and delivery fees.

There's a Hess across the street from DTD and I also think near BWI, both of which I have heard are in walking distance but it might be a hassle to walk with a case of water. I've read about people taking an empty suitcase with them for the purpose of rolling their groceries back. For a couple bucks, you could take a taxi too.

We are planning on taking the bus to DTD and going to the Hess gas station. They are advertizing water for about 4.99/24 We figure we will pick up muffins and a couple of adult drinks while we are at it and then take a cab back to POR. We are told the cab ride will be about $10

We looked into having water delivered too but saw that if you are staying at a resort that is a convention resort like GF or CS, there is a fee to pick up...I guess deliveries for convention resorts go to a different area than a delivery to one of the other resorts. If that is the case for you guys, it might end up being even between buying at the resort vs delivery. The one thing I don't know is how garden grocer works... not sure if they deliver to your room or if at a convention resort you also have to pay the $10 fee...

Bad news- I just went to the walmart site and none of the multipacks of bottled water can be ordered online anymore. All of them say in store only!:sad1:
Other than costco(I don't have a membership) is there anywhere else that has free delivery?

At both AKL and the Boardwalk, we have purchased gallons of spring water for (I think) $2.59. I know it was under $3.00. We just buy a few gallons and fill our own bottles.

I believe that Stapes has free delivery the last I looked, if you are a Staples Reward Member (sign up on the Staples site)

I've heard of this fee too. I believe it's only charged at the Coronado and the Contemporary. I haven't heard of the Grand Floridian charging. (Is GF considered a convention resort?)

Although, I stayed at CR in Jan 2012, we had groceries delivered by garden grocer and were not charged. If I remember correctly, packages sent to the resort are sent to the other area and charged. But since garden grocer delivers to Bell Services, they are not charged.
