Back from a 3 resort, 3 week stay...and hands down, AKL was the fave! From the people, to the activities, to the food, to the pool....wow...just amazing!!

I hope to have the chance to stay there again, but as a family of 5, that's hard. If the kids and I go solo again...you bet they will say AKLall the way!

Just curious, what were the other 2 resorts during your stay? :goodvibes

I'm full of questions today...I'm doing our online checkin for AKL standard CL. Are there any recommendations for room requests? I normally research this sort of thing to death, but this was a "kind of" last minute trip booked for our vacation during my husband's R&R from his deployment!

Thanks!

Sorry I can't answer your question but please thank your husband for his service to our country! :grouphug:

We are staying for the first time Sept 16-23 at Kidani in a standard 1 bedroom and are super excited! We will be renting a car, but using the bus system some. Any good room requests or would close to the lobby be our best bet to be close to the bus stops?

Hi everyone! I need some help with a couple of questions and hope the AKL experts can help me out!

We are going to AKL in late July--our first AKL stay (although we visit every time--love Boma!) and our first ever CL stay!

1. We are doing the Sunrise Safari on July 25. Is breakfast at Pizzafari or Restarauntasaurus afterwards?

2. How long does the safar and breakfast take? Just trying to gauge how soon we could be IN the park!

3. We apparently have the option for online checkin for CL but I thought I read that you shouldn't bother. Thoughts?

4. Do we checkin at the front desk at AKL or is there somewhere else we go at CL guests?

Thanks in advance!

Hi! We're on the same safari :)

There are two different types of Club Level Rooms. As far as I am aware the CL rooms for cash reservations are all on the 4th floor and feature a Arusha Savannah View. The DVC CL rooms are on the 6th floor and have either a Savannah or a Pool View.

Really? How funny! We have an 8 year old ds so I'm sure he'll be thrilled to see other boys! :)

Have you stayed CL here before? Wonder if I should request close to the lobby...

Awesome!! :)

No, we haven't stayed CL here before, but we have stayed at WL (similar layout to AKL, and luckily close to the lobby) and I have read a lot of stuff about people talking about how long the hallways at AKL can be. So I figured I'd try for being a little closer to the lobby.

ETA--I see in your sig you've stayed WL too :) Did you find yourself at the end of a long hallway? Maybe I am making a big deal out of nothing...

We have stayed at WL twice before (not CL). One time we were on the 5th floor almost over the pool so fairly far down that hallway. We didn't find it to be too big of a deal but we usually do that walk once in the morning and once at night! I almost don't even care! Just excited to be going!

Thanks for the quick response!

1. Thanks. I had it in my head that it was the other restaurant I mentioned!
2. What's a couple of hours? :) 60 minutes for safari? 90? Does it depend?
3. Thanks!
4. OK...we're driving up from Vero Beach. Appreciate the help.

New Question: Breakfast at Pizzafari is buffet, right?

Yes, it is a buffet for the safari breakfast, and it is very good. They even had someone making custom omlettes. The line got long, so get on it quickly if you want that! :)

Thanks! DH loves custom omlettes so I'll send him there quickly.

Hi All, I can't believe our trip is right around the corner, less than 10 days! Does anyone have any newer tips or tricks for Kidani? Does the bus still stop at Jambo before heading to the parks and stop at Kidani 1st on the way back from the parks? How are the shuttles between Kidani and Jambo? My main quesiton about the shuttle is, how long do you have to wait for the shuttle and is it easy. In other words, do you have to find a bell man who calls the shuttle or is it a clearly marked area where you just get in line? Thanks everyone!!

All busses except downtown Disney stop at kidani first. We did take the shuttle twice and its a tan van labeled. There was no line and it continuously runs every 7 or so minutes so they don't have to call it. Enjoy!!
