We will be staying in Orlando for 3 days before our cruise. We will not be going to WDW because we have Disney passes back home. But I was wondering what else is there is to do in Orlando? Any ideas? Thanks!

Depends on what you like. Sea World, Univeral/IOA, Discovery Cove, downtown Disney, helicopter/air balloons, legoland, air boats, dinner shows, concerts, blue man group, cirque de soleil, malls, bowling.....Busch gardens and Kennedy space center aren't far.....

What are you in the mood for?

Do you mean Disneyland passes? WDW and DL are way different, you might want to check them out. If not, Universal Studios is great, especially Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Sea World is a little more low key, but has some great roller coasters and just opened a new attraction about Antartica. The water parks for Disney are great - there are a ton of water parks in Orlando.

Do you have kids and what age? Legoland is really good for kids under 12. There are tons of other thing to do - mini golf courses everywhere, Ripley's, Wonderworks, Gatorland, the beach is only an hour away.

I love going to the outlet malls and Dowtown Disney.

I second a trip to the beach. There's Ron Jon's in Cocoa.

I'm assuming you live somewhere in So.Ca if you have dland passes (we live abt 15 minutes from dland and also have passes) and were trying to figure out what to do the day we disembark before we head to the airport. We decided to do the Brevard Zoo. We also thought about Gatorland but daughter was more keen on the zoo. We wanted to do something different in Florida that we couldnt do here in So.Ca. Granted we do have the LA Zoo and the San Diego Zoo, but we alwaysfind zoos fun and different and fairly cheap. We thought about doing WDW or Sea World, Universal, etc but we have all that here. Would have loved to do an airboat ride but don't know if three year old would really appreciate it. Depending when you are going, you could always send away for information or go to AAA and get a free book on things to do in Orlando. You could check out the Space Center. Hopefully the zoo will be fun, we don't leave until September.

I like the dinner shows like medieval times and Arabian nights. Universal was a lot of fun too, but honestly I would check out wdw anyway since its so much different! Epcot is my favorite place to be!

Coco and Daytona are about an hour away. New Smyrna is a little more than an hour but a much less busy beach. On the gulf coast about an hour and a half away is Clearwater which has some great beaches too.

If you want to stay local there's a lot of shops, shows, and places to go. Like someone else said, if you have an idea in mind of what you enjoy doing and/or how much you want to spend doing things it would help us give you some direction.

The outlets are fabulous because there's a Disney outlet at each one. We love going to Fuddruckers and Dave and Busters.
