MCO Hyatt Day Room. Arghhh

Hi All,

I phoned the Hyatt MCO who informed me it would be $99 to book a day room. They then put me through to their centralised reservations number. It was a bad line so I wasnt sure if they were sold out of day rooms, or they couldnt offer me one on their system?

Are they likely to sell out of day rooms (booking for late Sept), or should I have tried to book directly with hotel? It seemed strange to me to be sold out of Day rooms!

Quite frustrating as I am phoning from the UK over Skype! Grrrr.

Are you saying you want to book for just one night? You might have a better chance of doing it through their website. Is this the Hyatt at the Airport? I'm in the states, maybe I can call them and ask if you still have problems.

We've gotten a day room at the MCO Hyatt a few times, and never made an advance reservation. We just went to the desk to see if they had availability, and we were in our room within 10 minutes. If you do call the hotel directly, I would suggest calling during normal 9:00am - 5:00pm business hours. The in-house reservations staff may not work at other times.

I think I will just try for it on the day. In the worst case, I save $99.

As a side note, which cruise are you going on? We're going in late September as well.

You get the room from 10 am to 6 pm for $99. I have one booked for a week from Saturday because our flight doesn't leave until 5:30 pm. So we will have the room to store our stuff and we can use the pool, etc. Then we have a place to shower and clean up before getting on the plane

Wow...the day rates have really gone up in price since the last time I used one!

I always appreciate that they send a bellman to the room to take my bags all the way to the baggage check in, if I arrive too early to check them before I go to the hotel. It's a really nice touch.
