Hi everyone! I've just booked in my tattoo session- getting Chip n Dale on my wrist, it'll be my first. Mainly because I've always loved them, it's a reminder to let my inner child out every now and then, a reminder to be happy, and a reminder of the WDW trip that got me out my depression.

Everyone is saying negative things. The tattoo artist said I most probably will regret it but after I explained the reasons, he said its actually a good idea and he said as long as there is meaning, I'll always love it.

I also plan on getting a disney themed half sleeve at some point on my upper left arm, with lots of flowers, colour and some characters as well as symbols. I'm a girl, by the way.

What's your opinion on disney character tattoos? I'm really excited, and I know I won't regret it because I've been planning it for ages and it has a lot of meaning. I'm getting the tattoo over my old self harm scars, too. So it's also a reminder that I pulled though the really tough times. :)

I don't think there is anything wrong with whatever tattoos people want to get, as long as they are 110% sure they know exactly what they want and where they want it. I have a tattoo of small black and pink stars swirling around my ankle, a heart symbol ( <3 ) on my wrist and a World of Warcraft horde symbol on my lower abdomen which got ruined after an emergency c-section so I am getting it redone on the back of my neck. I am also wanting to get my daughters name across my wrist with small black stars and mickey heads around it, hidden mickeys I guess!! You seem very sure of what you want, where you want it and the reasons for wanting it so go get your tattoo done and enjoy it! :goodvibes

My husband is working on a Disney half sleeve. So far it contains grumpy, lumiere, pirate skull, captain hook's hook, sorcerer mickey, and the simba that rafiki drew on the tree. He wants to add some quotes like "let your conscience be your guide". His artist said he really enjoyed working on it.

I don't see anything wrong with getting tattoos, as long as you have a reason like a passion or paying respects to someone. I have a Mickey Mouse tattoo on my ankle and there is nothing wrong with that.

Don't let the kill joys stop you. I don't judge anyone Tat's they mean something to that person. Here's mines and don't give a rat's azz what folks think.....

i got a Mickey Mouse dressed in uniform on my fore arm. My wife didn't like it but oh well. I get a lot of complements about it and I love it. I will carry mickey to my grave. Cast members at Disney love it. Go for it if it makes you happy who cares what anybody else thinks. I am 62 years old and got it when I was 58, change of life thing I couldn't afford a corvette so I got a tattoo instead.

Arthur love your Mickey pirate its great.

That is an awesome tattoo! I love pirates. And I quite enjoyed the phrase you used about what folks think. :rotfl:

I have three character tattoos that are Marvel, so one could argue about them being Disney characters. I also have the East India Trading Company insignia on my arm. POTC is my favorite franchise and I like the bad guys.

I think your tattoo sounds awesome, photos when it's done?! I'm surprised the actual artist would be negative, it's not their place to really say anything! I have 2 fairly visible tattoos (back of my neck, inner right arm) so I do have to explain them fairly often so just have an answer ready for when you're asked - you might not want to go into all the reasons, but a stock answer is always good.

Enjoy!

My first tattoo ever is Ariel from Little Mermaid - black and white right now, just her upper body.

I have seen some really great Disney tats, and as a total Disney nerd, I LOVE IT!!

I would love to do a Disney themed tatt! Like a whole sleeve on my leg.

For myself I would never ever get a tattoo. I don't like needles at all. I can freak out really bad just thinking about it, but I don't see anything wrong at all with Disney tattoos. Way I see it, your body do what you want. ::yes::
