Split Stay Question

My mom, sister, and myself are heading to the World in 2014 to do a celebration trip to commemorate 20 years since my sister and I's first Disney trip. Mom and sister will both drive as they already live in FL, I however will fly in. We are considering staying at Caribbean Beach for part of our trip, and then transferring over to Yacht Club part way through as they're the only two resorts we stayed at as kids, so basically it would be a trip down memory lane sort of thing. How does this work? We're going to get Park Hoppers, and will have access to a vehicle for transportation. Will they transfer luggage, or is that up to us? And how will that work with the park tickets, do they just transfer over to the next Key to the World Card?

It's easy business! You just bring your luggage to bell services and ask them to transfer your luggage to the new resort. Some choose to drive it over themselves or take a taxi or whatever. But Disney will do it for you if you ask.

This is pretty awesome to hear!!! Was expecting it to be a little complicated, glad thats not the case :)

It is probably cheaper to have all your park tickets on your first reservation. The price is much cheaper the more days you have. If you are on dining pan you can put bare number of days of a park pass on your second reservation to get the dining

Good advice on putting park tickets on the first reservation. Don't think we will do the dining plan though, we will have access to a car so chances are eating dinner off site, having breakfast in room, and just having a few snacks in park will probably be cheaper.

We did a split stay between PO-FQ and the Beach Club. No hassles with the luggage (Disney did great). We had our pre-paid tickets, so I don't know how that would work.
