Good Cruise Dis-meet places - Fantasy?

We have a very large and active FB group of DISers for our cruise the end of November on the Fantasy. I'm guesstimating around 150-200 members so far (counting children). We'd like a large outdoor area to meet, but some of the larger areas are "Adults Only". For instance, the Sattelite Falls area look perfect, but it's over 18.

My first question is this....We plan on meeting before the ship launches. Do they enforce the Adult only areas before the ship leaves the port?

Another option would be the Goofy's Sport Deck. Anyone know how active this area is before launch?

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated....even an indoor alternative.

Thanks!

Yes, they enforce the adults only before launch....not sure about Goofy's Sports deck, if that is available before launch.

Even though the meet thread is active, that doesn't mean that everyone is going to show up at a meet & greet that first afternoon. There is a lot going on, especially if you have kids. People who intend to go will get sidetracked once they get onboard and start enjoying their vacation.

Regarding location, I haven't heard of anyone using Satellite Falls as a DIS meet place. While you are usually allowed to roam throughout the areas that first afternoon, planning to have a large group meet there is different than walking through with your own kids. Kids still wouldn't be allowed in the wading pool, so that might be too much of a temptation for little ones.

On past cruises where we did attend the DIS meet, the group has meet by the family pool or in the open Promenade Lounge [Magic]. The pool area worked well because if their kids were already in the pool they were right there and able to keep an eye on them. I have seen posts that arrangements were made to meet in one of the lounges on the Fantasy. Not sure if they would have the D-lounge available by 3:00 for a M&G, but one of the other clubs might be open. You can contact DCL to speak to someone who can process your request.

Just as the kid spaces are open for anyone to look at before the ship departs, the adults spaces are open as well. We took a tour of the spa to see the RF area last cruise and the kids were both with us. The CM said they were welcome to join us that afternoon. This has been our experience in other areas on all ten DCL cruises on various ships.

Yes, to look at...but to get in the pools and for a meet and greet...they wouldn't allow our son to sit down in the adult area neat Satellite Falls on our Fantasy cruise last November.

I've only been on one cruise, and our DIS meet was in the D Lounge. Not outside, but there was plenty of room to mingle.

Thank you so much for the replies and suggestions! I'll pass on to our fellow DIS cruisers on our Fantastic Fantasy Cruise! :goodvibes

Indoor - D Lounge. Especially if you can reserve it. We did that on last cruise and it worked out really well. A member of the group called DCL and reserved it for us - plenty of room for adults to meet and introduce themselves, kids to break off in smaller groups, etc.

Outdoor - Deck 12 forward is NOT an adults-only place. Does have a wading pool and quite a bit of room. But it can be hard to hear up that at times (depending upon wind) and the weather can be a potential issue as well.

Have a great trip!

We have requested the D Lounge for our close to 200 DIS group on the Sept 7 Fantasy sailing. They will let us know about a month out if we can have it. It would be free. Here is the email address to request the room:

We are working with Alma who is the on shore contact who will set things up with the ship's Guest Services group.
