Am I the only one who doesn't love these H20 products? I just got back from DW a couple of weeks ago and took home some shampoo/conditioner and used it today for the first time. I thought it was horrible. Just me opinion!

I don't really like it either... I have long thick hair and it first didn't lather very good with the shampoo and then the conditioner made it feel funny... like it was not conditioned ...so the combing after was not easy (the reason why I use conditioner)... however in its defense once it was dry I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary with texture or behavior. I did like the smell and the reminder of the cruise are why a few bottles found their way home post cruise :rolleyes1

I don't get the draw either. I'll use the bottle or two I get when staying at the resorts (Marathon weekend I usually have extra left without asking for it...maybe they note I'm running the marathon?) for post-gym-pre-work showers rather than haul my big bottles around, but that's about it. I like it slightly better than the crap they have at the gym, but only slightly.

Well, if nothing else you guys had me pulling stuff out of my bathroom cupboard this morning to see if I did in fact, have any containers of the stuff! :lmao:

I think we took the partially used ones from our bathroom - that's still okay, right :smokin: - but must have used them & chucked the containers. I don't remember them having pics of Mickey on them so was trying to refresh my memory.

Like others have mentioned, I wasn't crazy about the shampoo/conditioner and wouldn't be using it next time anyway. However, my dh who occasionally travels does have to book a specific hotel (by his wife's request) in a specific city so that he can bring home the Bath & Body Works toiletries they provide.

It's all about finding your favourites :rotfl:

Well, I NEVER take the shower caps. Ever. Even though there are some good use for them.

Oh No, you have created a monster. People are going to start hoarding the shower caps too. :rotfl:

there are some pretty creative people out there, I'd have never thunk to use a shower cap for anything but my head.

Hmmm. another thought just occured to me. If people are hoarding shower caps AND shampoo/conditioner....Do you think DCL will start surveying guests each day "are you washing your hair today or not?" then only supplying one or the other?????:crazy2::scratchin

I never used to take hotel/cruise shampoo/conitioner/soap (super picky about what I use) but my mom works for a womens society and they provide showers/lockers for disadvantaged/street women.

Now I take as much as I can so I can donate them.

I do not feel bad doing this and never will :thumbsup2

Since when have they had the shower caps? I have never seen a single one in our DCL cruises from 2007. Is this something new? Their were none on the Fantasy in November. Every trip my shower cap is one of those items that I always tendo to forget, this would be a great help when I don't want to ruin my hair.

I always take the shower caps from hotels! They come in handy for coloring or treating hair :) And the shoe shine pads some places have come in very handy too :)

We don't hoard them but on the first day when we meet our stateroom host/hostess, and they ask our preferences, we tell them:
1. We'd like ice 2x/day.
2. We'd like 2 Navigators in our stateroom.
3. We really like the body butter. (too bad it's now the lame, watery lotion.)

We leave it up to the SH how many they'd like to leave. Usually they toss in a few extra the last night after they get their tip too.

I'm not stealing them & not asking our SH to do anything against their rules. If I'm paying $1000/day to sail, I doubt a few tubes of lotion will ruin them.
I agree, if I go to the Marriott and stay, I'm taking home all the lotions, shampoo & conditionar that is in my room. I am paying extra for those perks. It would be a different sotry if someone hijacked the cart full of them. Lighten up, do you really think this post is going to change anything?

I've checked my cache and I'm good on lotion and shampoo, but short on conditioner. Anyone have some to spare?

Nancy

This thread is hilarious.

My partner is a hoarder, I am not though. When we moved in together, he'd lived in his apt for about 9 years. He had 2 "large" boxes full of those little bottles that he'd collected over the years as souvenirs. Had I thought about it, I'd have had him donate them :(

There was no way he was dragging all that *ahem* into our new place! We practically buy out the stores when they put it on sale - we don't need to bring it home from other places!

That being said, judge away - The only person it's going to hurt is you. I bet it hurts when you hit your head on the ceilings from being so high on that horse!

The thread is awesome in it's insipid wackiness!

My guess is the OP and like-minded thinkers have not studied a lot of marketing. Disney is not paying very much if anything for these products. These convenience sizes are just commercials.

Now that I think about it, I bet the OP is the VP of Marketing at H2O+ Products because anyone that has read even half of the 11 pages of replies has just been conditioned to buy the stuff.

Well played H2O!!

All I can think of is that I'm gonna need a bigger suitcase for the shampoo, conditioner, lotion/body butter, shower caps, shoe shine clothes, red pillows, anchor clocks, and the pictures on the walls. Maybe a steamer trunk? ;)
