Is there anyway to find out what room number it refers to?

I just want to know which bathroom/cabinet we own in our resorts... :lmao:

The unit is the only thing I found in my deeds. The funny thing was that we had gotten a pontoon boat at POR and gone by OKW on our trip in 1997. We went by OKW and when I saw buildings 55 and 56 I said " I would love to stay in one of those buildings". Didn't even know they were DVC units. The next day we stopped at the sales office on the Boardwalk after seeing the sign outside. We ended up buying sight unseen ( well almost unseen - just what we had seen from the boat) at OKW because we had a reservation at Poly for dinner and didn't have time for a tour. When the deed arrived it said we owned a portion of building 55. The first trip was split between a GV and 2BR. The 2BR was in building 56 the very unit I had pointed out when we went on that boat ride. It is still my favorite resort and those are my favorite buildings. All I remember about the SSR one is that it is in one of the first buildings opened in Congress Park. I believe there are places you can find which rooms are in each unit but I have not looked at it that closely. It might be on the plans that are filed when they first begin building the projects.

(Full credit to Micah008, who first outlined the strategy for finding these documents.)

It'll generally be a few rooms. A "Unit" is most commonly 2-4 two-bedroom equivalents. So it could be one Grand Villa, which is equivalent to 2 two-bedrooms. Or it could be a dedicated two-bedroom, a dedicated one-bedroom, a dedicated studio, and a lockoff two-bedroom, which would be the equivalent of 3 two-bedrooms.

You can search the OC Comptroller's web site for the declaration documents that have the drawings and maps of the units. For later resorts, they tend to be listed properly by unit, and they are listed under type "Condo Drawing" and you can search easily. If you have unit 12, for example, you can search on unit 12, or 11, or 10, and eventually find the section that contains your unit.

For earlier stuff like Old Key West and Boardwalk, it's not categorized well, and the documents can be listed different ways, certainly at least "Condo Drawing" and "Condo Related" and the legal description and Unit fields tend to just say some variation on "DISNEYS BOARDWALK". In addition, they rarely have the overall plan map of the resort showing where the specific unit sits relative to the rest of the resort. I'm sure if I could find the main plan drawing of the whole resort I could figure it out. At this point I know that my Unit is two lockoffs somewhere on the fourth floor.

Once you find the drawing and you figure out where it sits on the floor plan and what floor. If you can find a map that shows room numbers you can figure it out from there. Otherwise you'd just have to go the resort, find the right hallway, and count doorways.

Thanks so much!

I'm still trying to figure out how to find the drawings for GFV in the comptroller site hehe.

At OKW, the "Unit" refers to a building without specific reference to a villa component - only a specific % of that unit (building). If you own .746% of Unit 26 you own that % of Building 26 - near the Peninsular Road Bust Stop.

Other DVC resorts have a different designation of a "Unit".

Which resort and Unit number do you have? I have a list of all the Units for every DVC resort, including VGF, except for Villas at Grand California. VGC is the only resort I have not mapped out.

DW and I walk around the resort and pick out which rock we own, even if it is not our home resort.

I just bought AKV, unit 96B (100 pts) and we bought HH last year, unit 8A (50 pts) and unit 21C (25 pts). Also just closed on HH (50 pts), unit 11B. Can you tell me the HH buildings...I would guess 11, 8 and 21? If so, we stayed in building 11 and didn't like it. Wait, there is no building 8...hmmm (it starts with building 11 and goes to 31, so maybe I should count them off 1-21?). What can you tell me about the AKV location? Thanks!

Have 200 OKW and its building 27 (will have to request that next time...I like the location).

VGF 1C please :)
I don't remember the rest of our resorts (we have 5 now :faint: )

Thank you so much in advance. I might be adding to the list tonight when I can dig up all my papers.

VGF Unit #01C is on the first floor and includes vacation homes #1112, #1114/1116 (Lockoff), and #1118. They are Lake View accommodations. #1112 is on the top, left side of long wing of the "T", and #1114/1116 and #1118 are around the corner on the short wing, left side, of the "T."

AKV Unit 96B is a lockoff two-bedroom, villa #7821/#7823. Its on the 4th floor of the second bead from the north side of the lobby. I believe it is a Standard View accommodation.

HHI Unit #08A is in Building 21
HHI Unit #11B is in Building 22
HHI Unit #21C is in Building 11

I don't have a breakout of the HHI Units by Villa number.

Oooh...thanks so much! We stayed in HH building 11...not a fan. And we have a 2BR lockoff standard view booked at AKV for Dec (and requested near lobby). Thanks for looking it up.

I have been wondering about this since we purchased!!!Would you be able to tell me anything about units 9A and 18A at BLT?

BLT Unit 9A is a dedicated two-bedroom vacation home located on the second floor. It is villa #7244, the last villa on the south wing facing the Contemporary Resort. I believe it is classified as a Lake View.

BLT Unit 18A contains both a dedicated two-bedroom vacation home and a lock-off two-bedroom vacation home located on the fourth floor. They are villas #7416 and #7418/#7420, respectively. These villas face the Magic Kingdom and were initially classified as Theme Park Views. I believe they are now classified as Standard Views.

BLT Unit 13C is a Dedicated Two-Bedroom vacation home located on the third floor. It is villa #7329 in the center portion of the crescent, looking toward the pool.

You are not going to believe this but this past May was our first stay there and I am almost positive our room was 7329. What are the chances of that?!? However, I am doubting myself a little because we were on the second floor not the third so my memory might be off.

Okay I want to play too! We have unit numbers 106A and 115C at AKL :goodvibes
