I flew AirTran last month and used the resort check in. My flight out was at 9pm. I did my airline check in around 10 am. got our boarding passes and check in our suitcases. the rest of the carry on's I left with bell services. our magical express pick up was for 5:55 pm. We got our carry on's and went to the waiting area around 5:30. a bus was there and he took us since he was not full and it was the last stop. We did online check in the night before on Southwest's app since I booked the ticket's with them. super easy and your boarding passes will have mickey's face on them : )

Thanks for the information! DW and I have been searching for good information on this since we decided to fly down this time. (Excited!) We have always driven down, and wanted to skip the 12 hours each way if we could.

Paid off my vacation last night. :thumbsup2. Now just to wait for Mickey mail. I'm really not trying to wish my summer away.

Isn't that a great feeling?! We paid ours off last week. I can't wait for October. I know I'm wishing the summer away but its Disney!! Lol it takes forever to get here but when it does, you blink and your vacations over.

Does the shop in the resort sell milk? We just need it for cereal in the morning or a late night snack for my kids, without going all the way down there with a mug. Is it reasonably priced and will it fit into the beverage cooler?:)

Here right now and current price of a half gallon of milk is $3.19. HTH

I feel like I am wishing my summer away. We are going in September, seems like forever away, but there's lots to do between now and then, starting with an ear surgery for my daughter, her 6th.

That is high. Just trying to figure out if we should order from garden grocer for all our snacks and stuff instead of packing most of it, and buying milk there. Garden grocer is so easy, but so expensive...

Christine hope your dd surgery goes well. :)

I just did a quick pre grocery shop at Garden Grocer and holy cow. I am thinking I just might ship all my stuff down. Almost every item that I wanted was at least a $1 more. But then again you are paying for convenience.

Hi All!

The fridges at POP, is there a freezer section to it or is all just a fridge? I wanted to put some bottled water in the freezer part and use that as ice to keep things cool.

No freezer section, just a fridge. Post #2 of this thread has a picture of the fridge so you can see what I mean.

Bummer!
This is my first visit and would like to see how others have kept their items cold?
My first thought is just grab ice and put it in a plastic baggy, but I imagine that's not going to last too long.

Any other suggestions?

What items are you wanting to keep cold?

Water, yogurt, milk, juice

Gotcha. For water, we each have a refillable britta filtered bottle that we refill with ice water from the counter service locations. We don't carry anything else that needs to be kept cold because it's tough to do. I guess ziploc bags filled with ice is your best bet. Sorry I can't be better help.

Thanks for the reply. "When" ;) FD comes out I'll be able to upgrade and get my freezer!:)

Does anybody know if I can bring alcohol from home into the resort? My DH and I want to bring a little unwinding after a long day at the parks and the kids are sleeping cocktail. I've already checked with the FAA and they're cool with it. I want to make sure POP is too....don't want to get in trouble lol

You sure can. And if you run out of what you bring with, you can restock at the gift shop. :thumbsup2
