Well not really. I was hoping the Spurs would win tonight and they didn't. This is a very interesting series between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.

I shouldn't DIS so late, my brain doesn't seem to be working, sorry. I hope the Spurs pull it off.

Plus a wonderful chance for tea or something at the Empress hotel.

I think my Aunt and I might need some girl time, Tea at the Empress would be great. We could send the guys off somewhere else.

Nice to see you. How's your weekend shaping up?

I'm so excited that our next two trips are booked and I can start planning the details: Disney's HHI Resort in the early fall and a cruise in early spring. I'm trying to convince my husband to let me start looking for places to stay in Washington, DC for Fall 2014.

Sounds like some great trips. I love to see pics of HHI.

We love visiting DC. I usually sneak in a little family history research while I'm there - my great great grandfather was born there and lived there until his early 20's. I'm a huge Smithsonian geek and can't wait to get back to the natural history museum. OK, now I'm getting excited!

I'd be a Smithsonian geek too if I'd ever get there.

It sucks that I don't have a trip planned any time soon I think the next chance I have to go will be if I get onto the program for culinary.

I've been in your shoes many times. I just think of a place that I'd like to visit someday-maybe and do some research on it. I file my notes and then if I ever get a chance to go, I have my notes on what I found that might be fun to do or places to see. It helped me get over the I-don't-have-a-real-trip-to-plan blues.

I'm just gonna focus on kicking butt in school so I can hopefully get into the program and do my internship with them.

DH is hoping that we plan a trip to Europe next. After this trip, I'm going to have to start saving for that. It may well be 2015 when we have sufficient funds! Hmmm......wonder if I could con-vince him about a Round the World ticket.

It takes some getting used to. My carpal tunnel has been acting up since I moved into the bakery, but that was expected. I really do love it, though

OMG! We just came from the most amazing event. Dinner was pretty good, but we sat with Marty Sklar and after dinner were treated to a somewhat private concert put on by Robert Shermsn in the Enchanted Tiki Room! When I say semi private I mean there were 100 or less of us present.

AND PIO there was no one telling us that video was prohibited so I caught a bunch of it on my phone! As soon as I figure out how to get it on my computer I'll send it to you. Then I'll try to figure out how to post it.

Thanks! I've really been enjoying it, even when I'm running way behind and am a bit overwhelmed. Like today. I was three hours late getting off because of some issues we're dealing with at the store and today being the first day we're really dealing with them.

Certain things hurt, but as long as I wear my braces at night, it's tolerable. The things that tend to bug the most are piping the cream cheese icing (that stuff is THICK) or using any spatula besides my favorite. The one I like to use has an allegedly ergonomic handle. It just seems to feel better in my hand.

And yes, I'm getting quicker at finishing them I got a 1/2 sheet cake done in maybe twenty minutes today. I did red roses on it, since it was just for the cold case, not an order.
