Pecos Bill's vs Columbia Harbour House

Which do you prefer for lunch?

CHH gets the slight edge for us, but if we are right by Pecos Bill's and feel like a burger for lunch, then we will happily go there.

We really like both for different reasons...


PB- good burger, taco salad, BBQ sandwich & wraps & toppings bar, love the theming, it's a tradition to eat here first MK day
CHH- nice change from burgers, tuna or hummus sandwich, lobster roll, like to sit upstairs in the AC enjoying view of HM

If you can do both I'd suggest that!

Based strictly on food, I'd choose Pecos Bill's. However, last time I was at Pecos Bill's, it was awful. It was peak lunch time and raining hard and it felt like everyone in MK was in there at that moment. It took forever to find a table and once we did, some rude person came out of no where, swooped in, and put their food down and refused to move. When we were standing right next to it! I was in a pretty cranky mood so I chewed her out and she eventually relinquished the table. Anyway, moral of the story is that the main CS's like Harbor House and Bill's can get pretty crazy so be flexible based on how they look.

I have eaten at CHH a while back and enjoyed it, but always wanted to try PB

We enjoy both eateries but Ch H is a more relaxed atmosphere and much quieter. But we do love the veggie bar at PB's. You can add all the tomatoes, mushrooms and others you want to your sandwich.

We do both. Pecos Bill usually for lunch and CHH for dinner. We like the taco salad as PB love the fixing bar. CHH is a fried shrimp platter for dinner. Like others have said CHH seems to be a lot less hectic and a lot quieter, love you can sit on the second floor and look out the windows.

We love Peco's Bill! That taco salad is a must do for me
We are big seafood fans, but tend to save the seafood meals for table service dinners. I have had CHH in the past and remember the tuna sandwich was very yummy!

As previously noted, they offer different items, so it depends on what you feel like eating. A tuna sandwich at CHH is almost a tradition for me. At PB, lately I've been getting the taco salad so I can "build my own" meal. Both offer air conditioning, important in August.

I agree with this! I love the taco salads at PB because of the toppings bar. But, I love the fact that CHH has the opposite selection of food and sitting upstairs with a view is great!

Columbia Harbor House is the best QS in MK, IMHO. Healthy, fresh, nice ambiance. Pecos is just always so crowded. We've tried several times to have our minds changed, but have yet to have a positive experience there. I know others have, though. CHH for us!

I came to this tread looking for PB info and I got. We always choose CHH I think we try PB this time, I love Taco salad.

I actually haven't tried CHH, but from what I have read it seems pretty decent. I have eaten at Pecos Bill's once and was not impressed at all. It was very crowded and loud, and to me the taco salad is not any better than one you would get at Taco Bell, in fact worse because I think they give you more meat at TB! I haven't tried the burgers at PB but if they're anything like the usual QS ones (like at Cosmic Ray's) then I know I wouldn't like those either.

I plan on trying CHH in the future.

I love CHH!!! It is one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite - mostly because it is a change in the normal QS type of meals. It has a variety of salads and sandwiches as well as a couple "real meals" thrown in. If you are going in summer it can be a little hot for soups but it is a great change of pace from the normal burger, chicken, pizza type of lunch. We love it here and try to hit it up every trip! You will be hard pressed to find grilled salmon and couscous or a lobster roll anywhere else quick service! lol

Pecos Bill's is good, but if you are looking for something different I would highly recommend CHH!

My family likes CHH better without a doubt. It's just a much more relaxing place to sit down and have a meal.

We eat at Columbia Harbour House at least once per trip.

We eat at Pecos Bill's when we are in the mood for a burger and the all you can eat mushrooms.

Oh and BTW, I realize Americans drop the "U" when spelling words like colour and harbour, but the official spelling of Columbia Harbour House (according to Disney) includes the "U".
