You can ask around at your resort or wherever you'd like to convert some of the credits. I've been reading a lot of reports saying that's not allowed anymore though.

Let us know if you're able to convert any.

Folks used to report being able to do this at resort food courts (never inside the parks), but as the PP said, recent reports seem to indicate that this is no longer allowed.

You will need to ask at your resort. Used to be the resort food courts would exchange a counter service credit for three snacks. It appears most of them no longer do this, but you could get someone who would allow it. There's also reports that some cashiers might allow you to trade a counter service credit for one snack. I do not think you can trade a table service credit for snacks although you might be able to trade it for a counter service meal.

Not if you're Disney!

Exactly! ;) I'm going next month - first time without a DP simply because I think I'll have credits left over. Once I heard they won't convert them anymore, the DP will NOT be worth it for me this trip.

I also believe you can no longer get 3 SC for 1 CS however you can get 2-here's how....

Just get a CS meal. That will allow you to get a beverage and a dessert. If you do this at a food court you will have a large selection of bottled beverages you can get. And you will also have an entree as well. Depending on how you are going home (plane, train, automobile) you could save the entree for later-sandwiches would be perfect.

I believe the DDP brochure now states you can use a TS for a CS so you can get 3 CS for your last credits.

This will work as long as you don't use your credits for breakfast. No dessert with breakfast. :scared1:

HTH. :)

We have done just exactly this on the last day of trips if we have CS credits left on the last day. We usually stay at AKL, and at Mara, they give us a bag to pack the to-go meal and we eat it later in the day when we get to the airport. Last time, though, as we were sitting in the food court with our meal, another person must have thought what we had looked good, because they asked us where we bought it. Explained what we had done, and they seemed only mildly disappointed.

If you have snack credits left, you can, likewise, make a pretty decent lunch with the snack credit items (or, at least you could in the past). A small salad, a drink, and fruit, for example. We usually use our snack credits to get breakfast type items. We usually bring English muffins from home with jelly and peanut butter. We have been in the position, with snack credits, of having more breakfast food at the end of the trip than we brought with us. I also like to choose yogurt as my dessert at a counter service, which many restaurants will allow if you ask, or sometimes the apple slices they offer for kids meals, which I also sometimes save for breakfast.

We have a long flight home to CA so we save some of our credits for our meal(s) on the plane. So much better than most of the food you can get at the airports. :goodvibes And cheaper too!:rotfl2:

I have to ask - what do you eat in the parks if you're stashing credits away for the trip home?

Food is so much cheaper off property - this doesn't make sense to me.

Not the poster you quoted, but in our case, we aways take the earliest flight down there and the latest flight home, so normally used all our credits. However, some people get a late flight in so don't need to use credits that first night, then if they are taking an earlier flight home, won't need all their credits that last day either, so would have credits left over. Plus if they shared meals, they might also have credits left over.

Feb 2012 we did the DxDDP and even though we arrived early and left late, we had credits left over because we had skipped several breakfast ADRs when we decided to sleep in. We are not snackers, so always had a bunch of snack credits left over. You could use some of those for items that would make a meal on the plane (ie. cheese plate and pastries from the French bakery). I remember once being on the DxDDP and having to use up over 60 snack credits at Goofy's on our last day. lol That's one of the reasons we no longer do the DDPs. lol

In my experience, absolutely, always and at your resort food court/CS place.

I always read on the dis, that Disney doesn't do this anymore and that if they do it's only 1 snack credit for a CS meal.

Every year we go the first week of Sept., and every year we exchange MANY CS meals for snacks (3 snack credits = 1 CS meal). We have done this at every resort we've stayed at (ASMo, Contemporary, Pop). We have never had a problem and just last year, the CM's would always ask me if I wanted to use a CS for my 3 snacks or if I wanted to actually use snack credits.

While, obviously it could be totally different this upcoming year (everyone swore you wouldn't be able to do it last year, but we did no problem) and perhaps I'm just really lucky at the resorts we stay at, I certainly expect to be able to do the same again this year.

For my upcoming trip, I'll have 6 unused quick service credits. There are three of us going. We won't arrive until about 8:00 pm, so it's unlikely we'll eat at the resort that night. The day we leave, we fly out at 9:15 am and since Disney puts you on the Magical Express many hours before your flight, we won't eat that morning either (or will just grab some snacks). Since we have the standard DDP, we'll have one table service and one counter service extra due to getting in late the first day. I have booked two table service meals one day of our trip to use up the extra table service, but that day we won't end up using our counter service meal. So, that leaves us with 6 extra. I fully intend to just use them throughout the trip the way described above. Even if I have to throw out an entree (which doesn't seem like it would be in the best interest of Disney), I can get a drink and dessert (something like a Mickey rice crispie treat or other pre-packaged treat). The treats we'll pack up and someone will drink the drink during the trip, I'm sure. So, I'm essentially getting two snacks for one counter service item. Wasteful? Yep. Although, I will probably ask if I can forego the entree so I don't waste like that.

get sandwiches from EOS for the airport with our last CS credits. Not that we don't use the CS credits we need during our stay but we always seem to have a few left.

As to converting credits, like everything else at WDW, seems to depend on who you ask. I've had good luck and bad luck, sometimes at the same place!!
