:lmao: I still think gluten for punishment fits the bill. I didn't think it was a good idea to leave my sister and the kids down there by themselves without a vehicle.

Did you coat yourself in flour to make yourself gluten ready or did you just strap bread all over yourself? :rotfl2:

I wish I could find the same for the way home. The best I've found is on a United flight that gets in at midnight for $160 and we've have $25 baggage fee on top.

Yikes! This whole discussion makes me glad that we spend too much money and fly on points. That way we don't worry about costs or bags. :cool2:

Good luck! :goodvibes I'm not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel yet.

By the way Southwest sale going on. I purchased our one-way end of Oct tickets to MCO $160 per person.

Congrats! That's a great price.

I locked in all my flights with AA a couple of months ago. The dollar was higher and by doing the multi-city thing, I ended up with a price I was prepared to pay for Durango to MCO and MCO to LAX. I recently checked it....if I had waited, I would be paying $600 more for the 3 of us today. So glad I locked it in when I did.

Here's a tip that I came up with a couple of trips ago, to minimize bag fees.

More than likely, we all come back with more than we go down with. What we do, we fly down with our maximum allowable, FREE baggage. In 1 of the bags, is folded, very tightly, is a hockey bag. They are big, bulky and able to carry more than a week's worth of souvenoirs. And, it is only 1 surcharge, 1 way.

What do you expect at the end of the day when I'm tired...it should of been "glutton for punishment".

Congrats! That's a great price.

Good idea. Southwest is the only one with free bags for us, we even have to pay for our first bag on all the other airlines so we just keep it to one bag and a carryon.

We have three short road trips in July and August. That will help the time fly by until PIO arrives and the fun begins!

I'm so excited! I just booked our "next" vacation. Not the next chronologically, but the next that we just entered the booking window. Believe it ir not this isn't a Disney vacay! It's a Southwest riad trip. I'll post the plans on my PTR for WDW and then eventually a link to my PTR/TR in the Southwest section of the DIS. I made all the reservations that I could today when I notuced last night that the View hotel in Monument Valley opened up it's reservations for 2014. The only places I didn't reserve are the first and last nights. We may just play thise by ears on the trip itself, but ill explain all that later.

Nice to hear that you are doing a Southwest road trip Alison. :thumbsup2

What a day today, watching the NBA Finals where the Heat won over the Spurs and are tired at 2 to 2 (which I am not a fan of the Heat), watching new episodes of Pawn Stars right now and I have made my dining reservations for my upcoming trip to the DLR later this month.

We booked flights to go to Seattle and Victoria for 4 nights in Sept. with my Aunt and Uncle that live in Oregon. It will be nice to visit and go sightseeing. We'll take the car ferry from Anacortes to Sidney BC. The Butchart Gardens in on the top of the list.

That should be a fun trip up in the Northwest.

Sounds like it's been a good sports day for you.:thumbsup2

Well not really. I was hoping the Spurs would win tonight and they didn't. This is a very interesting series between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.

Thanks Brett! We haven't done a non-Disney trip since our 2011 DC trip, so this will be a lot of fun. We get some casino time in plus a lot of National Park time. I like the variety between Disney and Nature and History.

Victoria is wonderful! I got to go there for a work conference and Fran and I turned it into a nice trip with some fun and sightseeing. Plus a wonderful chance for tea or something at the Empress hotel.

I just saw! :thumbsup2

I'm hoping to survive this week. If I make it, I'm in the home stretch at work.
 Oh do I remember those times at work!

Wow! This sounds like a fun trip!
Hello everybody!
:wave2:

Yawn. Stretch. Only two projects to finish today, so I'll be able to play on the DIS today! :cool1:

Congrats to all who are planning trips! I'm so excited that our next two trips are booked and I can start planning the details: Disney's HHI Resort in the early fall and a cruise in early spring. I'm trying to convince my husband to let me start looking for places to stay in Washington, DC for Fall 2014. We haven't been in almost 7 years. I think I've almost convinced him, and then I go and mention that I want to do some family history research while I'm there, and he gets that glazed look again. :guilty:

 Nice to see you on the Boards. Sounds like fun! Will you be creating PTRs/TRs? Post the links and I'll follow. :thumbsup2
