A rabbi, a priest, and a pastor board the Wonder: we're back!

Oh my, I hope tomorrow goes well.

He didn't end up going. Made up some lame excuse about his mother. Poor Gabby.....I know she has to learn on her own.

Did the price go up already? Could you still get them or did he rethink his offer?

The price did go up again. I can't believe the Premiers are over $650. :faint: The Deluxes are just over $450. I'd totally go for those but the kids just can't miss school. I miss those days.

That's very true. It will only have been open for a month and a half so that will be pretty cool.

They'll still have that new paint smell. You're so lucky.

I figured better to ask and not need it than regret not asking later and it not be available. I haven't quite decided, not sure what Miami has to offer. I need to ask mom if she even wants to extend the trip. I just put it in Mapquest, looks like Miami to Orlando is 3 hours 45 minutes. That's not bad at all. And then saw the Everglades Ntl Park is really close, I've always wanted to see those. And Key West isn't far either. Now I have some ideas, thanks!

Thats smart. I need to ask still. Where is Key West in proximity? How much time do you have off?

That's not a bad drive at all. Hmm......I need to decide. The 7th month is approaching.

224 Days!!!

:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

:ccat: 222 days!!! :ccat:

When he came to pick her up the other night, the paper was on our front porch and he did not pick it up. That tells me a lot.

I don't pick up our own paper half the time. :rolleyes1

I'm not even sure why we have a have a subscription. I don't read the paper, maybe take the coupons from the Sunday paper, but don't read the daily. Fran is always on me about why don't I pick up the paper!

I guess I wouldn't pass your mommy scrutiny either. :rotfl2:

We'll have to figure out what to do on our cruise now as well. Do we want to drive up from Miami to take the Magic and then back for our conference or just make it another separate trip? But that's not something to figure out on your PTR! :lmao:

That's your own paper. :rotfl2: :rotfl: I'm fairly certain that if you came to visit me, knocked on my front door, noticed a newspaper on the mat, that you'd pick it up. :lmao: It was Michael who noticed and pointed it out to me. The kid couldn't have missed it. He's history anyway. You've passed my mommy scrutiny. Twice. :flower3:

I told him about Del Frisco's and he's looking into it. I found out we may be in Vegas over Thanksgiving too for a soccer tournament. Not my favorite time to travel as I love Thanksgiving dinner. Michael said we'll do it the Tuesday before. He works Thanksgiving so if Gabby's team doesn't play too, Joshua and I might just fly out and rent a car. It'll cost the same but way less time and no wear and tear on my car. The thought of the five of us in 3 separate places doesn't sound optimum to me.

Well if you figure it out here then I can just copy your idea. :thumbsup2 It'll be like a pre pre trip report for you.

Right now I've got a reservation at http://res2.hilton.com/webservices/...mVzY29uZkVOJTI2Y3R5aG9jbiUzZE1JQUhTSFg=&t=228. I can cancel my Disney transportation option with this hotel. I'm also thinking of maybe just arriving Friday instead of Saturday and spending a full day in Miami, go to the store, the beach etc....We have friends who live in Coconut Grove and could stay with them but I'm not sure. Lots of different options. :upsidedow

I need to decide and stat what were going to do, if anything, after the cruise.
I'm waffling. It's all about how much school I'll let Joshua miss. He could easily miss the Friday before the cruise but now sure I want to go to reosrt-that-remains-unnamed before the cruise. If we do though, I guess we'd fly into MCO, spend two nights at the resort, drive to the port and be able to stop at the store first.

Clearly I'm undecided.

Well at least I've passed your mommy scrutiny. :rotfl: (not that I want to date your daughters! :rotfl:), but just glad :goodvibes

I hope you two try Del Frisco's, we really liked it the two times we went there in Vegas and we've like the other locations we've visited as well. They are a top notch steakhouse with great Oysters, onion rings and creamed spinach. And of course a great steak! Those are the things that are important to us! :rotfl2:

The mommy test goes for all people. Like with your kitties, you can tell the good people from the less good people. :rotfl: The mommy test isn't limited to dating but definitely goes into hyperdrive. :lmao:

I love creamed spinach, reminds me of my childhood. There was this cafeteria in the Lakewood Mall years ago called Clifton's and they served creamed spinach. I don't think I've had it in 25 years but loved it. I don't see it on many menus. And I love onion rings. The rest of my crew doesn't like them and they're not really a good leftover item so I rarely order them but Michael will just have to suck it up. :lmao: He loves oysters so we can compromise. Lol!

We may be hitting up Sam's Town again, thank you again for the idea the first time. I've got my B Connected card now so maybe they'll offer up a deal. Thanksgiving weekend is pretty inexpensive as it stands right now though.

Still no word on CA but I'll keep you posted. The summer already seems to be flying by.

Del Friscos is great! I've been to the one here in Denver and the one in Philadelphia. Philly is cool because they have a "wine angel!"

Shame on him! Poor Gabby :( was she pretty bummed the whole day or was she able to forget him and have a good time?

Wow! DVC doesn't have a DL discount? I've never looked into it. Too bad the deluxes have the blackout dates.

Well I would normally work the weekend so I just took off the Saturday before and until the next Monday. So it's not that much time but since we'll be off the ship by 10:00 Friday there's plenty of time to do some exploring Friday and Saturday and still be home Sunday afternoon. Key West is south 3 hours 45 minutes, so the same as driving up to Disney. I know driving over the bridges would be fun. I still need to get moms input, she's out of town.

Fran says to go to cardcash.com and she got a $200 gift card for $150. I told her now we need to plan a trip to Las Vegas!

Shame on him! Poor Gabby :( was she pretty bummed the whole day or was she able to forget him and have a good time?

She had a good time. It ended up being just our family which was actually really nice. Gabby leaves for a month this Sunday and then Chloe leaves in July for 3 weeks so it was nice to spend that day together.

The DVC discount for Disneyland APs is $20. Seriously, it's a joke.

I didn't realize we'll all be off the ship so early. That leaves an entire day to get some place. :thumbsup2 My friend loves Key West. I hear its very relaxed. What bridges are there? Clearly I haven't done my Florida homework outside of WDW.

We're getting closer! :hyper:

Well they have to get us all off so they can get the new batch of people on. Officially we're supposed to be off by 9:00 but it can take a while waiting in line. The longest part is physically getting off the ship, getting the bags and through customs is very fast.

The Florida Keys are all connected by bridges, and it looks like it would be a very scenic ride. Since we're that close I'm thinking it would be a nice way to spend the weekend, and then just fly out of Key West.

this site has some great photos of the bridges

Thanks for the link. :thumbsup2 I'll go check it out. Key West has an airport? The more I read, the less I know.

I've got to cancel Joshua's flight to camp soon and I really wish Southwest would release their flights after Jan 4, 2014. :rolleyes1 I don't know what's taking so long. I'd like to book the flights. If I change flights then I won't lose the $50 unaccompanied fare for Joshua but if I cancel, I do. I've got about 2 weeks. :hyper:

It does, and SW flies in/out. Unfortunately it won't be a direct flight home for me so that's something I need to think about.

Oh my, I hope they release them soon. Usually they announce a date the next ones will come out. At least I thought they did, I can't find anything now. I'd change his flight to anything to save that money.

I agree, direct flights are the best way if possible. Where would your flight stop and is the layover long? I hate long layovers. :scared: But too short of layovers cause their own set of issues too.

I don't see anything either on SW announcing their dates. It's making me nuts. I check daily, sometimes twice  and still nothing. I don't want to lose that $50. Thankfully the camp only kept $200 of what I paid for Joshua's deposit. They could have kept it all. They're applying his amount paid towards Gabby's tuition.

We're almost in the 100's!

I agree, I avoid layovers if at all possible. It depends on the flight where the layover is and each place is different. Will have to check again when our dates come out.

Ugh, hopefully they won't be too much longer. I'm glad you were able to get some of your deposit back. He was going to do that this summer?

I didn't think we were that close to 100s. :)

The high 100's but the 100's are the 100's. :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

He was going to camp but decided he doesn't want to miss that much soccer. They start a tournament the day after he would have returned. He plays center mid and loves the game, he doesn't want to let his team. He made this decision on his own. We're good with whatever. Gabby, who loves camp, says he should go to camp, it's the best decision. I said soccer is healthy too, feeds his soul. To each his own. :goodvibes His club is hosting the tournament so he really wants to play well.

I hope they release our dates soon.

And I can't believe your trip to Disneyland is so soon. What are your exact dates?
