5 drives to WDW: "Bronze"
10 drives to WDW: "Silver"
15 drives to WDW: "Gold"
20 drives to WDW: "Platinum"
25 drives to WDW: "Diamond"

Drives above those levels are catagorized in multiples. For example, someone who makes 40 drives is "double Platinum;" 50 drives: "double-Diamond."

Remember: These status levels are just meaningless fun, but if you are seeking a long-range driver status, we've got one for ya!

All the best! :thumbsup2

bc, you have some up dating to do on page one. I took trip 54 three weeks ago and and I will be leaving Friday for 55. :thumbsup2

Cool. A new thread! Even though I'm not planning a drive until next October, I think i'll hang around and listen/chat. :thumbsup2

I don't usually post but I love reading all the recommendations. We drive from Central New York (just outside of Syracuse) to WDW a couple times a year. Next trips are July and October so I love reading this thread to get trip info. :) Glad I found part 4! :thumbsup2

I'm making plans for our trip. Fort Wayne In~>Bradenton Florida (to visit an old friend for the night/morning) and then Bradenton~>Orlando, then Orlando~>Fort Wayne.

Total expected mileage? 2,393 ~> 36 hours of driving. I'm sure it'll feel like twice that with a 2 year old on board :rotfl2:.

Okay been lurking for a bit.... we are in Kalamazoo Michigan and everyone thinks I'm nuts but it looks like it's quite a bit cheaper to drive to Orlando even though we have 4 kids (10,7,2,&4) and we're not gonna be able to go for a year or more but just going to hang out subscribe, read posts and learn for you all.... I'm not nuts to do it right? It seems to be much more economical even though not as convenient, but it's an experience also, right?!

It's what you make of it. We look at it as an adventure. And the bright side to driving: no worry about luggage weight and a TON MORE ROOM for souveniers!

We drove to Disney from the Niagara Region in Ontario back in 2010 with a 1 year old (it was the day after her first birthday) and at the time 4 year old (son was turning 5 during the trip). I must say it was an adventure. Hardest part was keeping the 1 year old occupied. We drove straight through, and getting ready to do it again next year!!!! I think it will be easier to keep the kids occupied this time. Oh we also leave at supper time and drive through the night.
