One day hopper help

DD (4) and my self are going to be in DL tomorrow ( Monday June 10th) with one day hoppers. I am trying to figure out the best plan to get as much done as possible in one day as we have never done less than 3. With just me an her SR is not an option for anything so we either hit it early, get FP and make the time work or we stand in line ( or skip it this time).

I am thinking of starting at DL at rope drop and hitting FL first thing ( I know the order well). What I am trying to figure out is how much we can get done before we need to hop over to DCA for what we want to get done.

So here is what I am hopeing for. DD wants to ride RSR this time so I do want to get FP for it of possible but don't want to waste the first bit of park time getting them so if we end up not getting them I can live with that. We won't be doing any thrill rides as DD doesn't really like them much and isn't big enough for Indy or screamin.

In DL must rides are
PP
Dumbo
Toads
AIW
Star Wars FP if line is long
(that's my plan at rope drop)

other rides we must do are
POC
HM
Pooh
Tiki room
IASW
JC
Buzz
Tiki room

And we will likely try to do princess FF as well.

DD likes iron man so we might look at innoventions if time allows or of crowds change the plan we come up with.

In DCA we want to do RSR if we can get FP after FL. The other cars land rides will depend on the crowds and we will do them if its not a big wait.

Other must do DCA rides are Soarin ( DD loves it)
Ariel
GZ
Disney playhouse show
Jumping jelly fish is a maybe.

Maybe Turtle talk with crush if we have time ( DD was first picked to talk to Crush last time so Im sure she will want to see it but I'm not making it a priority

Maybe bugs land as DD likes it but she doesn't love it and I know she won't be upset if we don't get there. I have told her several times this trip is different than the others and we won't be able to do everything.
TSMM would be nice but we aren't rushing for it and won't stand in a long line for it so I don't expect to ride it ( only been on it once and it was just ok for us).

Rides she definitely won't do are ToT, Space, Splash ( has done it once but hasn't wanted to since and says she doesn't want to this time either. GRR is out she says, no GGC, no MH, BTMRR is closed so no worries about that. No Aladdin with only one day. We aren't worried about parades, or characters other than princesses.

I know we won't get it all done but I know we can get most of it done as we have done packed a ton of rides into one day alot.

If you had one day and wanted to park hop to get the most done what order would you do things and at what times would you change parks?

I've read that Mondays have been busier than some weekends do you think that will be the case tomorrow? The plan is to go until DD crashes and then heading out which my guess from past visits will be around 8pm. I have the stroller to save her from all the walking too and so she can lay down when she does crash.
I have snacks to keep her happy and will bring a water bottle for each and fill it up as we go so we will likely only stop for one CS meal and maybe some treats as we come accross them.

Any tips, suggestions, or things I have missed or not thought of that you notice?

Just my 2cents! MICKEY and the MAGICAL MAP just opened at the FantasyLand Theater!!!! I would try to fit that IN! I have not seen it but seems to be very popular! You will see it on the cover of the DL Park Map when you go through the turnstiles!

Also have you given any thought to the brand new FANTASY FAIRE and their shows?

Your agenda looks great!

Not sure if Mondays are any busier than the rest of the week!

What about Mater's Junkyard? That is so much fun!

I think if you are really determined to do RSR, then you should start with Peter Pan and Dumbo, maybe ride Toad depending on how long those first two take, go get a Star Tours fastpass then cross over to DCA. Get the RSR fastpass then head back to DL to ride Star Tours and Buzz and whatever else. Cross back over to DCA when it's time to use the RSR fastpass. Luigi's tire ride probably won't be worth the time investment since you have so much else to do, but the line for Mater's can be pretty reasonable various times throughout the day, so that one might be doable. I would skip Bug's Land and Turtle Talk altogether this time.

I agree with a previous poster who suggested Mickey and the Magical Map. I haven't seen it yet, but I have read that people have been getting seats for it pretty easily even when arriving only 10-15 minutes before the show. It sounds like a show a child your daughter's age would enjoy, and it would make a good afternoon break. I've also heard it's not too long, which is a good thing since there's so much you want to pack in. You can make sure to ride IASW when you're back that deep in the park. I don't know that I would try to fit in one of the princess shows in the new Fantasy Fair. The meet and greet should be ok; I hear those lines move much more quickly now, and it sounds like meeting princesses is important to your DD. The shows though have low seating capacity, so you would have to invest a lot of time in waiting for what is a relatively short (but I have heard well done) performance. I think I would save that for a future visit.

thanks, that plan does sound doable. We are in line at the gate now only 2 families in front of us so as soon as they let us in its FL here we come.

OK, I give up. What's AIW? I've been puzzling and puzzling. I even went to the Dis abbreviations thread which I've never bothered to look at, and I just can't figure it out. Glad to hear you've been covering a lot of ground.

I missed Alice when we were there and I'm still regretful. You are making awesome time! I'm watching for your updates

Duh. Thanks.

Sorry yea that's Alice.

Alice and the mad hatter were right outside the ride but DD didnt want to meet them because the mad hatter looked scary.

heading back to DL now for POC and other rides. Lines are long to get into each park right now.

did Soarin and Ariel

Wow, you are doing well. I assume you got your RSR fastpass. I would suggest checking out the Jungle Cruise and/or Mansion lines before Pirates and knocking those off it the lines are decent. The last couple times we were there, JC and HM both had weirdly long lines earlier in the day than we anticipated, and it was during regular HM time of the year, not the overlay.

Just got back from Phoenix yesterday myself. Talk about hot!! Enjoy your day in the parks!! :)

Hope you are having a great day! We are going later today-it's our last day on our AP and we want to see the fireworks. Going after lunch and staying late (for us) .

In Carsland you can skip Luigi's tire ride, it's just okay. But do Mater's Junkyard Jamboree-it's a hoot!

I agree with your DD, Mad Hatter is a little scary-I think it's the giant nose! :rotfl:

If you see us today, say hi. It'll be me, DD13, and my DM73. DD and my photos are in siggy below.

FYI, the local OC schools last day is 6-12, so the parks shouldn't be too bad today. They get worse starting on the 13th.

Yea we looked at JC on our way to POC and it said 20 min but we decided to wait till tonight and see if it slows down. We got on POC and HM with both lines looking long but moving fast 10-15 min each. DD was hungry and didnt want to ride Pooh yet so we ate at Rancho Del Zacalo (probably spelled that wrong). Now are waiting to see princesses in FF. Aurora, Cinderella, and Ariel are her Favorites so she is so excited. Next we will check out IASW and Buzz and see how the lines are. Shortly here we will head over to Disney playhouse and catch one of the showings because DD says she HAS to see Sofia and we aren't allowed to leave until she does.

Cute. Your daughter sounds like my niece.
Is RSR going to happen too when you go back over to DCA? Pooh is always a good ride to do late in the day when other things have lines. Hope your DD enjoys her visit with the princesses.

Yea RSR is 4:40- 5:40 so not a bad time considering we got it after 9 am so over an hour after park opening. In line for IASW now. says 30 min. The princess FF was cute. Love that it's got AC now. DD was so happy for Ariel and Cinderella.

Im thinking we will go to DCA after IASW and see how the crowds are there. FL was packed as we walked through so story boats is out unless we hit it late tonight. We will see how DD does. We can check out bugs land and if the lines are long then DD can play in the water. Won't bother me to sit for a while so she can play.

Yep, that's what I was wondering about. That seems like a really good time for fitting it in with the rest of your plans. Sounds like you two are having a good time. Maybe you can rest your legs and eyes at that Disney Junior show this afternoon.
