Has anyone purchased VGF that has a Dec UY. My question is were your 2013 dues pro-rated or did you have to pay for a year in full?

I was reading through the contract last night and it says that dues begin the later of the start of your use year or when the resort is available to occupy. They should be pro-rated.

Yes, the maintenance fees will be prorated, starting with the later of either 1.) the opening of the resort; 2.) the first date of your Use Year; or 3.) the date you purchase. A VGF buyer with a December Use Year will have their 2013 MFs prorated from December 1st. A VGF buyer with a September Use Year will have their dues prorated from October 23, the scheduled opening date of the resort.

I'm confused about this. :confused3 If a VGF buyer has a September use year, doesn't that mean they won't receive points until September 2014? But, they'll still have to pay 2013 dues?

No they will recieve points 2013 and pay dues starting prorated to October 2013. Only people with Feb or march use year would recieve 2014 points because the resort didn't exist in feb or march of 2013.

I have purchased and have a Dec use year. I will pay 1 month dues for 2013.

Ok, now I understand the September case. Does that mean March use year (which doesn't receive point until March 2014) doesn't pay 2013 dues, and would pat pro-rated (March-December) 2014 dues? This is my specific situation.

According to quality Assurance I will have pro-rated dues for 2014 since my points start in Feb. I assume it is the same for March dues- so you will not owe dues until March of 2014.

from the information i have been able to obtain, the 1 br does not have two bathrooms as blt and kidani have. anyone have a clue as to why. :confused3 i thought that was one of the best selling features. we have found that it makes our trip much nicer when we do not have to fight over who gets the bathroom first.

also, there does not seem to be a founding member recognition. :scratchin any info on that?

welcome home new vgf members!pixiedust:

This is correct. Honestly they will sell them just as well with out 2 bathrooms because folks love the studios with 2 showers. I think with it being a small resort they may have not wanted to put in another.

Two showers in a studio? Did I miss something?

Does anyone that has seen the studios remember if the tub has the same "champagne bubble" feature as the tub in the 1 bedroom? I can't believe I didn't take note while I toured!

Someone who toured confirmed the studio tub is just a regular tub - no bubbles.

Really? Ok that I DIDN'T know. Can't wait to stay in my 1 Bedroom for New Years!

"Champagne bubbles", eh? Now that's marketing!

I don't think I'd take a swig! :rotfl2:

We were the first members to tour the VGF model. The one bedroom has a freestanding Victorian style tub with the champagne bubbles. The studio has a tub shower without champagne bubbles.

I was told the purchase dues are pro rated, in the manner previously listed in this thread.

Now the math (suppose I should have asked)..... if dues begin October 23 (non-December contract addition), do the dues get divided by 60/365 (9 days left in Oct + 30 in Nov + 31 in Dec) multiplied by number of points and point cost?

For example, using a 100 point contract: 60/365= 0.16438356164

0.16438356164 X 100 points= 16.4383561644

16.4383561644 X dues ($5.14) = $88.93

is this right? :teacher:
