Even a quick trip to Disney is better than no Disney. You've planned and are prepared...but always be ready to go with the flow. If plans change...don't let it stress you...You are at Disney and Life is good : )

Our first trip with our kids was a 1-day pass to the Magic Kingdom. It was all we could afford at the time (we were visiting relatives in Sarasota and drove up and back..so no hotel expense). It was fun and they really enjoyed it.

I think your plans sound great. Disney can kind of be like Vegas where the first time you go it's better not to have more than 72 hours there or you'll feel overwhelmed! I think you'll find it's a good amount of time for your first visit especially considering your son's age.

After you see how awesome it is, you can plan for longer trips! Since you're staying at Beach Club I would highly recommend trying to get a little time at Stormalong Bay, the awesome pool. I know because it's a short trip you might not want to fit it in, but I would definitely try.

For the dinner on property you when your parents have other reservations, I would suggest trying Beaches and Cream. It has kind of a diner atmosphere but the food is good and the prices are relatively low compared to other TS restaurants at WDW. I think it would be a good change since you're already doing Crystal Palace for breakfast so you'll have done the buffet thing (since Cape May is your other choice at Beach Club).

I think you're getting plenty of awesome things in while you're there and I definitely think it's great that you're getting in a date night at Epcot. DH and I really think it is such a romantic place for a couple. Strolling along the World Showcase w/a drink in your hand is just a peaceful, awesome place to be!

Epcot is our favorite park and you all will enjoy your date night there. It's hard for me to pick "can't miss" attractions. I love Expedition Everest, Soaring, and Mission Space...and the Japanese pavilion, and the Rose and Crown Pub, and Pirates of the Caribbean...just keep in mind what you miss this time, you can do the next time you visit : )

Oh geez...there are so many "can't miss" attractions for me! But since you are doing a shorter trip and it's your first time, I would say try to do as many of the "big attractions" as possible. That's a relative term, but by park I would say:

MK- Space Mtn, Splash Mtn, Big Thunder, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Dumbo and probably Pooh for your son. If you find more time then I would branch out to some of the other rides.

Epcot- Soarin', Test Track, Spaceship Earth (you have to go in the big "golf ball" on your first trip), Nemo (good for Mike). I also love the two "rides" in the World Showcase, Maelstrom and Gran Fiesta Tour, but you might not fit those in, but definitely do a walk through the World Showcase, it's amazing!

AK- Everest, Kiliminjaro Safari, Jungle Treks, Kali (if it's warm), Dinosaur! (if you're ok w/ bumpy rides), It's Tough to Be a Bug (if Mike won't freak out about the bug stuff...this can be scary for some kids) and Festival of the Lion King. AK is a big park and it can take a while to fit this in. If you have more time, I would also visit Rafiki's Planet Watch, Dinoland USA and the Flights of Wonder.

This trip is all about my son experience wise.

Call me crazy or a planning freak but I have this semi creepy problem. I have to be planning something, at all times, no joke! I feel empty if I'm not.... Crazy? Maybe!

Right now I am spending half of my time planning this trip and half planning my son's 2nd birthday party. We are doing a boy version of Tangled at a water park. I've been getting real creative. It's going to be tiny (10 people) but fun. I have a pinterest board for it lol. My son loves Tangled, he watches it daily. He loves Max and Fynn and screams with delight during their scenes but secretly he adores Rapunzel and her singing....makes him light up like the 4th of July!

I'm actually going to wear a Rapunzelish bikini for the thing to match his "here comes the smolder" shirt. Pics to follow.

For decorations I will probably try to make a banner (everything online and in the stores is WAY too girly). I also picked up stuffed versions of all of the characters which will later become gifts for the fun sized guests.

Shirt I ordered for my son to wear.

A little upset I got my sons shirt today and its WAY too big. The tag says 2T but take a look.

The birthday went really well. He was very good for once! It ended up being less themed than I had wanted but hey we all get busy. Here are some pics. Also, I'm happy to note the Monday after his birthday we went cold turkey on the pacifier and it went over pretty well!

We don't do this...the themed back packs are our first attempt at Disney specific fashion statements. But I do enjoy people watching at Disney and the different outfits people come up with. I especially enjoy the kids in costumes. Although I have to admit we all get a bit of a giggle at the beautiful-exhausted-princess meltdowns you often see.

I will eventually add our packing list with outfit ideas. My son and I have princess and prince inspired (cinderella and prince charming) zip up hoodies to wear to our princess dinner When I finally get around to it and add a table of contents with links I'll create that post describing each.

Your plans loo great so far! I just have to ask, why are you not taking the magic express? Id nothing else the luggage service makes it soooo awesome.

The only other suggestion I have is for animal kingdom. I had planned to do the safari at rope drop but it turns out thy was everyone's plan! We ended up grabbing a FP for the safari doing the trail next to it, then riding the train and ended up finishing it all just in time for the safari. It needed up being a perfect crowd free impromptu plan!

We aren't taking the magic express because of our crunched schedule (magic express makes you leave 3 hours prior to take off time). Also, I have to stop at the grocery store to pick up at the least water (very picky parents) and organic whole milk ( very picky toddler only drinks one type).

That makes sense! Our toddler is picky about milk. We gave him non organic milk once while we were moving and it gave him the worst stomachache! If you want to avoid a trip to the grocery store Garden Grocers delivers to Disney resorts and they have a lot of organic options!
