We will be renting a car and driving from MCO to WDW. Can anyone tell me what , if any, tolls I will need to pay going to WDW and are there any on property while driving to and from parks and resorts? Thanks so much !

I'm not certain of the price of the tolls but it will be easier if you have quarters and one dollar bills handy so you can give correct change. Before we got our mini Sun Pass, I used to travel with a roll of quarters which made it much easier.

If you are staying at a WDW resort, there is no parking fee. If you are staying off-site, parking will be $14/day at the theme parks. Pay once, keep your receipt, it's good all day.

Coming from Orlando International Airport, if you take SR-528 (The Beach Line), there are two tolls, for a total of $2.25. If you take SR-417 (the Greenway), there are 2 tolls, for a total of $3.00 (assuming you get off at the I-Drive/SR-536 exit, Exit #6 ... if you go to the Osceola Pkwy exit, it goes up to $3.75) The Greenway is faster and has less traffic.

Actually, the parking price increased today, June 2nd, to $15/day.

This all brings up a good point. I was going to use a GPS from MCO to WDW, but I will take any suggestions of the best way to go. We need to stop at a Walmart before we get to property---otherwise it is straight to WDW. Any suggestions would help... TIA!

If you get on Narcoossee Rd from the airport and take it to 192 (Vine St) you wont pay any tolls,,,A little out of the way but hey.

I don't mind paying the tolls-- just would like the most efficient but not tons of traffic route .

It's been a few years, but I like the South Exit. There is an Albertson's at the Orange Blossom Trail exit off that road. Do you really need Walmart?

Not familiar with Albertsons. I need a place to buy groceries before I get to WDW. Same type of store as Walmart?

Take the South Exit from MCO to get on SR-417, South. Exit at Exit #6, International Drive. From here, you have 2 choices:

1. Take a right at the light at the end of the off-ramp, onto International Drive. About a mile and a half on the left side will be a shopping center with a Publix grocery store in it. To get back to WDW, take International Drive back towards 417. At the stoplight, instead of going left to get on 417, go Right. That will be SR-536, aka World Center Drive, which will lead you straight onto Disney property.

2. Go straight at the light at the end of the off-ramp, onto SR-536. The first light you come to will be SR-535, aka Kissimmee-Vineland Rd. Make a left on Apopka Vineland. About 2 miles on the right side will be a Walmart Super-Center. From the Walmart, you can either take 535 back to 536, or make a right on Poinciana Blvd (just past the Walmart), and take that to Oscola Parkway, which will also lead to Disney property.

Thank you so much! This will help immensely. How long do you expect that trip to take, taking out the Walmart time of course.....

Albertson's is a large, full service grocery store. I like to go there because it is on the way, is right off the exit (you can see it from the highway), and there is a full liquor store next door:drinking1

It is only a grocery store, so if you need to buy clothes or shoes or tires or other things not normally at a grocery store, they won't have them.

As a lifelong Florida and former 20+ year Kissimmee resident I feel I can answer some of this with a bit of knowledge. 417 from MCO is definitely the best way for a non local to get to WDW.

If someone took me that way, there would be a fight. That route would take 1.5 hours to get from MCO to WDW best case scenario.

As far as grocery stores, I would recommend finding the nearest Publix. I can think of 2 or 3 witihin a few miles of the maingate in either direction. Publix is way nicer than walmart could ever hope to be and you may find that they have more than 2 of the 374 cash registers staffed.

Thank you so much. I think a Publix would be more than fine. I will need to Google some addresses so my GPS heads me in the right direction out of MCO.
This will be our first time driving. We have always used Magical Express in the past . Should be an adventure! :)
