Jumpin' June Exercise Challenge--Everyone Welcome!

75/900

Just worked in the garden, hoeing and hand-weeding, for 45-minutes.

Didn't make goal last month but I am back in for this month! Gonna set a lower goal and go from there, so 1300 it is!

Today (so far) did 50 min zumba class and 35 mins strength.

85/1300

Hoping to get some swimming time in later :)

Through post 44. :)

If you all have a second, please look at the first post and if you think you should be there and you are not, repost please. I had some computer issues, and I think I got everyone, but I don't want to read back through every post.

Thanks!

We walked at the park today.
Puts me at:

66/1800. :)

Hi! I've been reading and lurking on the Dis Boards for months but I have never posted. I decided my first post would be to sign up once the June exercise thread was started. Please sign me up for 1500!
Welcome! Glad to have you. :)

This will be my first challenge. I think I will start at 900 min. Thanks for the motivation!!!
Welcome! :)

Thanks for hosting! I'm going to try again for 1500. Hopefully I can get there this month!

30/900

Is that the way you want us to do it, Rose?

I did my 2-mile Walk Away The Pounds this morning, which is 30 minutes.

Planning to work in the garden today too, so hopefully another 30 minutes will be added later today. :)
Perfect! Thanks!

Wahoo, thanks for hosting Rose!

I'm shooting for 750 again. Hopefully we should not have too much going on this month.
Great to see you! :goodvibes

Whoohooo off to a great start to June;

90 min at the gym this morning 45 weights, 45 cardio. My foot handled 25 min on the elliptical today and the rest I did on the bike. I was SO tempted to run but I'm exercising my discipline and waiting til Tuesday as I had planned....

90/800 (1000) lol :)
Great job on the discipline!

73/1500

Thanks Rose for hosting this month. Please put me down for 1500 again this month.

I just completed the 8k portion of my race today and will do the half marathon tomorrow. Hopefully with DH if his back holds up. We were real slow today trying to take it easy but at least we finished it.
Hope your half goes well tomorrow!

Add me for 750, I have a vacation at the end of the month.... Off to WDW

I had an hour of BodyStep

60/750
Very exciting!

Am I too late to join in? These really hold me accountable! I'm shooting for 1500 this month. Everyone is off to a good start so far!

30 min elliptical
27 min running

57/1500
Never too late! Great to see you. :)

Alright I'm in.

I tanked in May, I worked out 3 days out of 31. Not good, not good at all.

Kids have school for 3 more weeks so I can get at least 30 a day when they aren't home.
My goal is 900 minutes

 Hi Buffy!

running/jogging/sweating
I hear you on the sweating. It is not even that warm today (around 80) but man it is humid!

Didn't make goal last month but I am back in for this month! Gonna set a lower goal and go from there, so 1300 it is!

Today (so far) did 50 min zumba class and 35 mins strength.

Great to see you!

30 minutes of Upper Body

Im also going to try calorie cycling for this month and see how it goes.

Can you add me too. This is my first challenge! I'll shoot for 1500. I did 30 min today. Thanks!

I am going to try and do 60 minutes a day. Can you please put me down for 1800 minutes for this month.

Thanks to Figment for all the work in May.....Thanks to Rosé for this month.....My favorite month, because it has my birthday in it!

Raising my goal to 1200 this month.........I am older in 8 days! LOL!

Me too! My birthday is the 5th

Great start! And congrats to your DW. But, just don't tell her that what she is doing is "jogging". My DH is much faster than me and if he said when he was running with me that it was jogging--let's just say it would be ugly, ugly, ugly.:rotfl2:
Thanks - My thought process with respect run vs jog has nothing to do with pace. For me, a run just for enjoyment is a jog. A run with a training goal is a run. My runs with my wife are pure joy for me, and I do not count the miles toward my weekly training goals, hence the "jog" reference. But I do count them as exercise.

At any rate, I tell my wife not to even think about pace right now. Her run intensity should be based on perceived intensity/effort and heart rate. She can start thinking about pace when she starts racing (if she decides that it matters to her), but now she needs to learn to run right, not fast. We are in our late 40s, so injuries are a real concern.

Now for my exercise today.
Walked one mile - 18 minutes
Ran 8 miles, 94:13 (11:47 pace :scared:) Yeah, it was very hot and humid, so I took it slow.
Walked 2 miles - 39 minutes.

Total for today = 151 minutes

Monthly progress = 248/2500

Ok I'm in again but increasing to 1100. I hope to have a bit more time.

I've got a trip in 9 weeks and need to get my rear in gear!

60 min treadmill incline

60/1100

73/500

My run/walk this hot, muggy morning was at a 12:32 pace, which is great for me, so that was rewarding. :yay:

Busy 2 weeks ahead - kids graduate Friday, party on Sunday, leave for vaca the following Saturday. We'll spend a couple nights in Orlando first - no plans to visit the parks, but we're going to go parasailing at the Contemporary one of those afternoons. :thumbsup2

20 minutes of walking. I wanted to run but was unable to because of my own bad attitude ( kids were stressing me out).

80/1000

Ana
