Good CS Dessert Options?

I am planning to swap out most CS desserts for fruit or bottled water, but am wondering where would be worthwhile places to think about indulging. Most CS desserts I have had taste plasticy and fake. The menus don't really help because it isn't more than a name.

I'm looking for ideas in the run-of-the-mill places, not places like the WS counter service options.

Pecos Bills? CHH? Cosmic Rays?
DHS?
AK?

Cheers!

My fav CS dessert is in Epcot at the Liberty inn at the American Adventure. They have a great apple pie!

Sunshine Seasons in Epcot has a wide selection of different desserts in addition to the "normal" ones offered at most CS places.

Also, Starring Rolls in HS has yummy cupcakes.

Thanks!

Sunshine Seasons & Starring Rolls I knew about. They're great suggestions and really known for their desserts.

Liberty Inn is exactly the kind of thing I am looking for--I NEVER. would have guessed that their apple pie is worthwhile. I am really happy to have that one in my back pocket.

I didn't realize you could swap CS dessert items for something else. Do you mean snack credits or is this a loophole of which I was unaware?

I specifically mean dessert. Not every CM will do it, but anecdotally it seems that people have been switching the dessert portion of their QS meals for water or fruit or another side.

I don't know where you are staying but the Pepper Market over at CSR has very good, freshly made desserts. We love their blueberry cheesecake, chocolate cake, fruit tarts, flan, etc. The ice cream sundaes you can get for dessert at the Value resorts are also good. Of course anything from Sunshine Seasons or the French or Norwegian bakeries in Epcot are good. The creme brulee at Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD is pretty good too.

I forgot to mention we also like the desserts at the Boardwalk Bakery.

Great suggestions aubriee! Thanks!

Interesting dessert ideas, and this leads me to ask: Can the dessert on the quick service dining plan be used at a separate time and location from the rest of the lunch or dinner meal on the plan? So if we get a QS burger somewhere, can we also get our dessert at that meal from another QS location?
Thanks.

No, each restaurant will just deduct one CS meal from your bank of CS credits. Each meal is one credit. The entree, dessert, or drink can't be separated out. You are required to order all components at the same time from the same restaurant. Saying that, if you order ice cream for dessert most CS locations allow you to come back for it by showing your receipt. But you have to come back within the time limit (like 30 minutes).

I've actually been trying to put together a list of CS dessert options (NOT snack credit items).

DH is not a fan of cheesecake or carrot cake, and I'm pretty sure by day 3 he'd be sick of chocolate cake - and that seems to be what 90% of the CS desserts are. I'm going menu by menu right now to compile a list of other CS desserts at the parks. I know they have some different options at the CS restaurants in the resorts, but CS meals at a different resort for each meal would be a bit time-consuming and seriously cut into park time.

So - if someone already has a list somewhere of JUST the CS Dessert options in the parks, please post it here!!

Anyone know if the beignets are considered a dessert item?

They are listed on the menu at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory
Port Orleans French Quarter - Six Beignets $4.29 (which would be snack point or dessert)

If using a SC you can only get the order of 3. We also were only able to get the order of 3 as our dessert option last fall.

I was always able to switch out a CS dessert for an extra water bottle no questions asked. This was early 2012 but haven't heard otherwise since.
