All those existing members who added on recently would you mind sharing how long it took from closing for Disney to load the new points. We closed on the 16th of May and so far there is not even any sign of an additional contract on my login never mind more points.

Your purchase ran into a logjam of VGF purchases that needed to be inputted into the system immediately. My guide said Member Administration was processing about 300 contracts for VGF alone each day since the 23rd.

It was just about 14 days from closing to points loaded and available for use.

In that case I might as well be patient.

Closed in March and from the time the deed was recorded in orange county comptroller site until we had points showing up on the member site was 11 calendar days.

We too closed and recorded on the 16th of May. I finally called today and left a message with Member Administration and then sent an email.

This was their response.

We received your transfer documents on 5/17 - your closing company should have let you know that it takes us a minimum of 2 weeks to complete a transfer. Once we complete the transfer in our department, we will mail you a letter that has your member number, this gives member services time to complete their part of the transfer process. When you receive that letter, your points will be in your account and ready to use.
Hope this information helps!
Have a great day!

Not exactly what I wanted to hear as I have read other people's timelines and they received their points from a week to 10 days. I am hoping they show up really soon as I have 2011 points that need to be used soon. I guess it was bad timing with the VGF release.

Give them until this Friday or maybe early next week. It should not take more then two weeks. You may also look here and see if you deed has been recorded with the state. You will see the contract number added and then the points a day to two later. They are not quick but it will happen. Good luck.

Our transfer documents were sent to Disney on 5/13 & we are still waiting. We are new members & FL residents so snail mail should get to us a bit faster. Every day I eagerly check my mail box- Seems like an episode of Blue's Clues! LOL

Existing member, added on through resale just before the VGF (or is it GFV) sale crunch:
Closed on Friday 05/10.
Deed recorded Monday 05/13.
New contract and points showed on the DVC member website Friday 05/24.
Still haven't received anything in the mail as of Tuesday 05/28.

Update: mail finally arrived
Letter was dated: Friday 05/24/13
Envelope was postmarked: Wednesday 05/29/13
Envelope arrived: Monday 06/03/13
The letter contained my member ID number, and provided the Member Services phone number for making reservations. It did not say anything about the Member website. It said my permanent ID card should arrive in 10 days to 2 weeks.

Note that after you log onto the member website, theres a pull-down menu which says SELECT MEMBERSHIP NUMBER.
I can switch back and forth between the first contract and the second contract, even though they are different member numbers because they havedifferent use years.

Mine is a little different as it is VGC so the deed was recorded before we closed and the documents sent to Disney. Looks like I have another week to wait.

Things have changed a lot we added on AKV in October and we wired the money one Tuesday and the points were loaded the following Tuesday.

ah well they do say patience is a virtue just not one i happen to have..

Contract recorded 05/16/2013 and just found out today that our points will be added to our account on Saturday (would be tomorrow, but the person working in the resale department is off). The points have already been removed from the previous owners contract, not sure why they could not add to our after they removed form theirs but....who know how the mouse works.

We had an e-mail on 15 May to say our deed was recorded and sent to Disney. I've been checking and our contract finally showed up in our account yesterday. I've just looked now and the points are loaded so hopefully yours will show up in the next few days :goodvibes

Still waiting but hopefully not too much longer. Stupid thing is I don't need to book anything so don't know why I am so impatient.

Prepare for a bit of a letdown after it arrives, then - it will be kind of like coming home after a wonderful stay and realizing you have no future trips scheduled yet. :)

Hope the mail arrives soon for all those waiting.

Mine closed on the 13th and the points went in on the 24th.
Just in time for me to use them for my next ressie :)
Hope yours get loaded up soon!
