A rabbi, a priest, and a pastor board the Wonder: we're back!

We're inching closer. Are you interested in being part of an FE group?

We haven't been involved in them since the first cruise. We ended up with so much extra stuff coming home. It was fun though, would join the group if it wasn't a large one.

I was searching all the Cozumel excursions and found the perfect one for us. It has the ruins I saw on my last trip that I'd like mom to see, a drive around the island, and some time at a beach.

I'm sorry I completely forgot the pictures I said I'd post for you. Were you still interested or are you decided on the beach club?

Your not far behind us-we leave in 28 weeks on November 30th! LOVE the anticipation!!

We're not far behind at all. I love it too. Planning and counting down just makes the trip last that much longer. :goodvibes

Thats my only hesitation is coming home with a bunch of stuff. It sounds like fun though. Our meet doesn't have one yet. I'm reading up and may start one.

That looks great. What beach club is it? The only part I don't like is the 40 minute drive. The ruins part of the tour looks great though. Joshua wants to see the ruins and that sounds fun as its a ruins/beach combo.

I'd love to see them. I was set on Nachi but now it seems like it might be too mellow for Joshua, no water toys. I can't decide. :upsidedow Paradise Beach looks fun too and they don't require reservations.

We came back with plenty of suitcase space stealing items that's for sure. But it was really fun coming back to the room and finding gifts.

I can't imagine that the drive will take that long, it's not a big island. But if it does thats ok, it'll be nice to be there again. It doesn't say which beach club, I can only hope it's nice. All we need are some lounge chairs and the ocean and we're set. The ruins are the selling point though. I know we could take a taxi and see them ourselves, but by the time you add up the taxi, entrance to the ruins, and pay for a guide I'd rather just let Disney take care of it.

I'll post a link when I get on the laptop, hopefully tomorrow. :)

Decisions decisions! You'll have fun no matter what you do. Paradise Beach looks like a lot of fun. I can just see myself toppling back into the water if I tried to climb a couple of the floats

I think that sounds like so much fun. I know Joshua would get a kick out of it. Guess we've still got some time to plan and see if anyone starts one.

The more I read about your and Alison's excursions through Disney, the more I think booking through them is a great idea. :thumbsup2 I wouldn't want to navigate ourselves via taxi to the ruins either. Joshua does want to see them and with CC, we'll get some beach time. Hmmm....what to do? :surfweb:

:thanks: and :goodvibes No hurries, you know where to find me.

:rotfl: That'd me be too. I am the most unathletic and uncoordinated person out there. I like being in the water because if I fall, it doesn't hurt.

I need to take a closer look at Paradise Beach.

Hopefully as our date approaches more people will join the thread. There are still so many stateroom categories available. This is exactly what happened last January, it didn't really sell until the last couple months.

I know it can be done but it's just so much easier to let Disney take care of it and not have the stress of having to watch the clock to make sure you're back to the boat on time.

Here's the thing with the beach though. I know it will be hot enough in Cozumel to enjoy the water, at least when I was there in February it was. CC is that much more north it might not be hot enough. At least it wasn't when we were there last January. Just something to consider.

:thanks: and :goodvibes No hurries, you know where to find me.

I thought I was ready but I still need to upload some more photos. I'm doing so as I write :)

Ok, here we go! Sorry if this is picture overkill, but I figured if I was showing you some I'd just upload them all. Not of the trip but of the ruins. My camera battery died halfway through so some are on the iphone. And there's three videos as well. The reason one is so short is because you had to pay to take videos and I thought someone was watching me so I quickly shut it off. I had a horrible cold on that trip so I sound quite nasal. I hope you enjoy!

:worship: Pam, your pics are fantastic! Thank you, thank you! Is that beach in Cozumel? It's beautiful. I didn't know Cozumel had beaches like that. I'm thinking they're like Cabo, kind of rocky, not great. And the ruins look very interesting. It's very nice of you to take the time to post them for me. Now I want to do both the beach and ruins. :hyper: The ruins don't look strenuous either which was another concern.

I just found it so much easier to go with Disney, they know where you are and won't leave if you're not back. We're going to do the ruins someday (foreshadowing)

On our last cruise we had three FE groups and the third group was formed because a whole bunch of non DISers joined the DIS in the last three weeks after the FE group was closed. The person handling it was nice enough to let them all have their own group.

There is still no meet thread for my next cruise. I'm thinking of starting it, but I'm going to wait until my TR is complete before I do so.....

You're most welcome, sorry it took so long. Thank you for the compliment :goodvibes

That beach was absolutely magnificent! It was on the southernmost point of the island.

The ruins aren't strenuous at all, they're all on one level. The big temple on one of the videos probably won't be in any tour, we had to go and find that one on our own, it was quite far into the jungle. There are several ruins that are separated from the main buildings.

You know, being on the East Coast has its advantages. I am probably always up earlier than you to announce your countdown. But why should I have all the fun, I'll leave it for you today. :rotfl2:

How you are able to keep a secret this long is beyond me! :) I usually burst at the seams!

This is a huge benefit and I don't want to be worried the whole time or even part of the time about getting back on time. :hyper:

This is an excellent point that I did not consider. What is there to do on CC without the beach? I saw something about renting bikes.

Paradise Beach looks like a lot of fun. At least you'd be laughing when falling back in!

True :lmao: and I'll make sure Joshua doesn't get it on video.

I feel you on needing to finish one before starting another. Between keeping up with your's, Pam's, mine, Cynthia's, PIO's, and MaryEllen's...I'm falling behind. Michael laughs but he doesn't get it. I've made the committment and I like to keep my commitments.

They're awesome. I showed Joshua and he is all excited.

That beach was absolutely magnificent! It was on the southernmost point of the island.

The beach is stunning. :lovestruc

That's good as I can be kind of a wimp. Jungle? Was it difficult to find?

Sounds good to me! I can't wait to have a Konk Kooler :lovestruc

This is a huge benefit and I don't want to be worried the whole time or even part of the time about getting back on time. :hyper:

It's definitely worth some more money to have that peace of mind.

This is an excellent point that I did not consider. What is there to do on CC without the beach? I saw something about renting bikes.

Yep, there are bikes to rent and some bike paths, one leads to the observation tower. There's also volleyball courts for free. they have paddle boats to rent which might be nice if the water is too cold to get wet. Mom wants to do the jet ski excursion when we go, she's never been on one.

True :lmao: and I'll make sure Joshua doesn't get it on video.

But that would make some great vacation memories! :)

They're awesome. I showed Joshua and he is all excited.

Very cool! Sorry if that made your choices any harder.

The beach is stunning. :lovestruc

Next time we go to Cozumel I hope to get back there, they have some excursions that go there.

That's good as I can be kind of a wimp. Jungle? Was it difficult to find?

Not difficult to find, they had a very distinct path heading back to it but it was quite a ways. We contemplated turning back a few times but were quite curious what was at the end of the path. Definitely in the jungle.

I totally agree. Time and piece of mind are valuable.

Jet skis are a blast. She'll love that. You're such a good daughter. :goodvibes Paddle boating might be fun in addition to the bike rental. Good ideas. Do they run out of bikes I wonder or can we book based on weather? Hmm....

Next time we go to Cozumel I hope to get back there, they have some excursions that go there.

I need to do some research.

Joshua would love the idea or exploring in the jungle. Me? Not so much. I'm not a fan of things that slither. :scared:
