ChrisNY2 had breakfast this morning at AKL's...

Chris said, "I started today at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I had been here for dinner a few times, but this was my first breakfast visit. I really enjoyed it, and would visit again as part of the dining plan."






"I started with some sweet rolls, carved ham, roasted tomatoes, and scrambled eggs with ham and cheese."







"My second plate was bobotie, an M&M pancake, and french toast bread pudding with praline pecan sauce."

He said, "For lunch I made my first visit to the Hollywood Brown Derby."






Citizens of Hollywood - Martini Flight of the Stars
A tasting of three Martinis:
Shelby Mayer - Grey Goose and Dry Vermouth
Honey Darling - Bombay Sapphire Gin and Dry Vermouth
Dorma Nesmond - Ketel One Citroen, Pomegranate Liqueur, and cranberry juice


"I started with the Martini Trio, which was a fun way to try a few of the martinis. I enjoyed that with fresh bread and butter with sea salt."





The description for Chris' appetizer was not included in his update but I think it might be...Andouille-crusted Prawn over Black Diamond cheddar grits, wilted greens and ancho oil







"For my main course, I had the filet mignon. It was delicious. I really liked the mashed potatoes."




"I had the seasonal berry cobbler and a cappuccino for dessert (no pic sent). Overall, I really enjoyed the meal. The food and ambiance were wonderful. The service was a little slow, but friendly."​

Hello, everyone! My name is Kaitlin and I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you all a little bit about our trip before we head to the airport
We are a group of four adults (DH, Quentin plus our good friends Ash and Maggie, who will be joining us starting Tuesday evening) and one child (DD, Drucilla, age 7). We will be staying at Pop Century and have the DxDDP. Here is where we are planning to eat:

Before leaving this morning, Chavaleh & family had breakfast at AoA's...

Lori said, "I had the Teriyaki Beef. Tastes just like the beef bowls I had in the real country of Japan. Two big thumbs up!"

Lots of great updates and I loved the pic of Jack saying goodbye to Mater!! I am intrigued by the "House-made Sci-Fi Candy Bar". I will have to put that on my list of new things to try in July.

Hi! Thanks barb, for posting all my pics! I just wanted to add that they do not offer the FPs any more- but that may be because who would want to go on that safari after you had gone through so nicely on the sunrise safari!

Also- those burritos were cheese blintzes with cherries (I think ).

It's a really wonderful experience! Also cool to go into the park via the CM entrance- you get to see a lot backstage. Enjoy your CL stay!

Thanks so much for maintaining this thread! I love seeing the pictures of the Sunrise Safari. We've got that booked for our upcoming trip, and it was great to see all of the food selections at breakfast! Can't wait to try that stuffed french toast and the cheese grits! Yum!

You will enjoy it I'm sure- you get to learn so much more about the park and its animals on this tour- and the breakfast IS really nice!
