What are the member perks

Buying a resale contract and only put my name and my partners name on the deed but plan on sharing the points with my parents for a few years (while they can still travel). What perks will we have that they won't be able to use.

I was fearful of estate issues in the future if we co-signed.

If they are not with you and are not named on the deed, officially they are not entitled to any DVC perks. If they are not at the same address as you, they would not be entitled to purchase the DVC discounted AP or PAP. If you added them as Associate Members, they could make reservations and check the member website.

But what are the perks to membership?

Not sure we will be doing AP since we pan on going ever other year (us 1 year and them the next)

Not so interested in them having web access, I would be doing all their booking. Also 1 good thing is that we all live at the same address does that help.

What does an associate member mean/get them.

Associate membership is what I stated above. They can make reservations, cancel reservations, modify reservations, call Member Services, access the website.

Perks come and go and change pretty much quarterly. Some dining and shopping discounts, some tour discounts, etc. But without you and the Blue Member card, they would not be entitled to any of these. These are member perks and you must have a blue member card with your name on it. If they are not on the deed, they do not get Blue Member Cards.

Thanks. So associate doesn't make sense for them,but they would miss out on some discounts. Will have to give some thought to this but as I said we don't want to get involved in estate issues.

Also, unless they were Florida residents or Annual Passholders, they could not purchase the Tables in Wonderland dining card. DVC members can purchase it, but it is specific to the adult owner. It cannot be transferred to others. You and your partner could each purchase one (first one would be $100, additional one would be $50). The card holder would need to be at the table to use the card.
