BOG - Favorite Dinner Item

For those folks that have been to BOG, what was your dinner choice? Anything particularly delicious? I'm unsure from the menu what to get. Also, any appetizers or desserts not to miss?

The truffle fries that came with the kid's dinner were so good! I had the Cornish hen, and it was good but not great (but I realize I am eating at a theme park, so I'm not too disappointed)!

We both had the scallop and shrimp puff pastry last night and it was fantastic. Lots of shrimp and probably half a dozen scallops with fresh veggies and a delicious lobster sauce. Not gonna lie: one of the best dishes we've had in the World.

I'm normally a chicken eater - not so much a seafood eater. I was interested in how the cornish hen was. Sounds like a safe bet for me.

I had the onion soup to start- it has a vegetable broth base, so a little more subtly flavoured than the usual American beef broth base. Delicious. DH had the mussels and found them perfectly cooked (and he used all the bread to soak up the broth:furious:)

We both had the pork chop- tender and juicy. The vegetables were still crispy- just the way we like them. The pinot noir was just the thing to wash it all down.

We were pretty full so we shared the chocolate cupcake for dessert- very moist and rich- any chocoholic would be very happy with this choice.

From reading recent experiences, it looks like the cornish hen was taken off the menu and replaced with a chicken breast. Hopefully someone who has tried the chicken breast will post their experience.

DH and DS LOVE the salmon and I LOVE the porch chop. So, so good. I also had the Ratatouille and it was good but I like the pork better. Our whole family likes the french onion soup and I've also gotten the potato leek soup and it was very good. IMO you can't go wrong with any of the cupcakes either!

We had the charcuterie platter, the French onion soup, the shrimp/scallops in puff pastry and the chocolate and lemon meringue cupcakes. All were delicious for theme park food. We also had the croque monsieur and roast beef sandwiches for lunch and they were fabu!

My favorite entree was the cornish game hen, but looking at the newly revised menu, it has been replaced with a chicken breast. One member of our group had the steak and liked it very much. For appetizers we liked the 3 salad sampler and the potato leek soup. My favorite dessert was the Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake. Overall we liked the cupcakes more than the cream puffs because the puffs were't as crisp as they should have been.

Hmmm, well I'm OK with chicken breast. That's what I usually order anyway.

We will probably skip dessert because we are doing the dessert party later that evening. I'd love to score some Gray Stuff though!!

If you have room, I highly suggest the strawberry cupcake. It was my favorite part of the meal (the rest was meh, but OK). THat cupcake thought made the whole meal worth it.

I had the pork rack chop and DH had the steak. Mine was good. His was OUTSTANDING. And the fries with the steak...sooo good (but then again so was the mac and cheese that came with my pork). We both had the chocolate cupcake. Fabulous!

When did the menu change and where can I see an updated one? Allears still has the cornish hen.

Thanks!

I was there two nights ago, and Cornish hen was still on the menu, I had thought it was taken off also, but when I looked it was still on the menu.

We all ordered the kids chicken and steak, filled us all up, we got out desert with it and we all had something different, I had strawberry cheescake cupcake, dd had triple chocolate cupcake, ex had lemon cupcake, dgd had chocolate cream puff, dd had something else can't remember, all was dilicious. Oh the kids chicken breast was moist and very tasty, like I said, chicken breast for adult was not on menu, on Cornish hen.

We have been there twice for dinner now. DH got the shrimp and scallop puff pastry thing and loved it. I have gotten the steak... And let me tell you, that steak at BOG was my favorite steak of our whole trip! We ate at many signatures and by far it was the best tasting. It comes with fries and a black truffle mayo(they say its herbed mayo) -YUMMM. I also had the French onion soup and that was yummy.

I agree the steak was definitely great both times I ordered it. In order to get the "Grey Stuff" you need to be celebrating a special occasion. It is a tiny serving.
