The Garden Wing rooms will be completed by 5 July. Thanks so much for your kind comment!

Hmmm... Are you in two rooms now? I will get my trusty eraser out.

All the rehabbed room photos are hyperlinked in the NEWS section at the end of Post #1.

Yeppers two rooms..since our trip is close...had to save $$. I couldn't give up the location. Since w/d in the building it was an easy sell for Brian. And I still get to stay on bay lake..yay ap rate!!!!

Thinking of booking Atrium CL for our December trip, but was wondering what the differences are between Atrium CL and Tower CL. From what I've read on the first page of this thread, I'm thinking 12th floor Atrium CL and 14th floor Tower CL is similar to GF RPC and SL in that RPC has a larger lounge than SL (with Tower club having a larger lounge than Atrium club), the views are better (tower club being higher up with better a view of MK), guests staying RPC have access to both the RPC and SL lounges (guests staying Tower club having access to both lounges), and better location as RPC is in the main building (although this last comparison doesn't really count as both CLs at CR are located in the tower). I think I remember reading that Atrium CL had limited offerings in the past, but has changed and now has the same offerings as Tower CL, is this correct? Also, are there regular rooms on the 14th floor or just suites? Anytime I price out the CR, I only see options for Atrium CL and never Tower CL. After Atrium CL MK view, it goes up to GW 1 bedroom suites with no option for Tower CL. TIA for any input :flower3:.

I have always wondered this too. How does one actually go about booking a regular room on the Tower level? Also to PP I'm pretty sure the Atrium lounge is bigger than the Tower lounge.

I called and booked two regular rooms on the 14th floor. The catch is you can't be guaranteed the view. There are five standard rooms on the 14th floor. Four of them are on the MK side. One is Bay Lake. This means if course that the odds are in your favor to get MK view but you could get Bay Lake and you are not allowed to book one or the other. The Atrium Lounge is bigger but both have the same service and items. Tower Club guests are allowed to use both lounges. There are fewer guests on the 14th floor so the lounge should not be crowded even though it is smaller. Balconies are much bigger on the 14th floor.

We had a one bedroom suite plus two standard tower rooms booked for July 18-21, 2014 because the two bedroom was not available all three days. We went back and changed the reservation to keeping this configuration the first night and then for the other two nights the people in the two standard rooms are moving to the two bedroom suite. I'll be able to take pictures of all three type rooms now. :)

Well, KOOK!!

Could you go ahead and add me to the Logorail??? :goodvibes

I have booked CR garden wing, standard view for our MNSSHP/Food & Wine trip!!

We will be there 9/29-10/2. :woohoo:

This is the perfect opportunity to give the CR a try!!! :cutie:

Thanks regarding lounge size. I guess I just assumed the Tower club lounge would be bigger. Have you stayed Atrium club before? If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it :).

So with only 5 standard rooms, do you think/know if they book up fast or do people usually book Atrium CL, thus leaving the standard Tower CL rooms available? Also, how do the rates compare? Is Tower club a lot more expensive than Atrium club? Thanks for any information you can give. I can't wait to see your pics when you return :goodvibes.

We booked rack rate since it is for 2014. Originally I had booked Atriium CL. Rack rate on those rooms were $792 and rack rate on Tower Club standard room was $804. A little higher but not much.

I've stayed Atrium CL before and really enjoyed it. The lounge was great. Since we wanted to book a suite this time we wanted all rooms on the same floor. I'm also looking forward to seeing the difference with the 14th floor not being open to the inside of the resort. I'm a balcony geek also and really wanted to try the extra large balconies!! I'm also interested in the fact that the 14th floor will have undergone a major (hard and soft goods) refurbishment. The view of the fireworks from up there is spectacular!! Either floor would be great for that!

One other thought......I know a lot of people think its foolish to book so far ahead but I started booking as soon as I possibly could; 499 days from CHECK OUT day. I already couldn't get any of the two bedroom suites for my entire stay (conventions, they are allowed to book as much as 5 years out). When I booked the one bedroom suite on a Friday, there were three one bedrooms available. When I called backed the following Tuesday to change the reservation from the two standard rooms to a one bedroom suite plus one standard room there were no longer any one bedrooms available. I guess my point is that it just makes a difference for availability depending on when you're going and what exactly you want to book. I say if you know specifically what you want, go ahead and book it and you can always change it later if you change your mind.

I thought the difference between Atrium CL and Tower CL would be more, but that's not bad at all. Silly question......what do you mean that the 14th floor isn't open to the inside of the resort? Do you mean the rooms don't overlook the concourse? In our earlier trips I have never cared much about having a balcony, but the last few trips I have used the balcony and now I really love sitting out early in the morning and late at night :).

I don't think it's foolish to book so far ahead if you know your dates and know exactly what resort and room type you want. We are going in December and I was thinking of booking this week (TPV or Atrium CL) and then I started thinking about Tower CL. I think I'm going to call tomorrow and get a quote for both and then, like you said, book it and change later if I want to. Thanks for all of your input, I really appreciate it :goodvibes.

Have you (or anyone else) ever been able to apply a discount to the Tower Club STD rooms? When I've called using the military discount or AP, they weren't applicable to the Tower Club rooms, but it has been a while since I've asked and I may have been asking about the suites which are never included in military or AP rates.

Yes, that's what it means. From the 14th floor Tower Club level, you can't look down to the 4th floor Concourse.

Good morning, everyone!
Just want to get my name up on the log-orail! DGF and I will be at the BLT from 1/31/2014 to 2/8/2014, and we're super excited! We had originally booked our trip for the AoA for these date, but my boss gave us some DVC points, and scheduled the trip for us in a deluxe studio/theme park view!:cloud9:

This is our first time staying, and we don't really know what to expect. I'm checking out all the information on this thread, and it looks like we're in for an awesome time. Is there anything we should keep an eye out for/be looking forward to here in specific? How is the view for Wishes from the room, and is there a way to stream the music in our room? Couldn't find this answer on here, but I could have missed it (apologies if I did over look it! :rolleyes1).

Is it February yet??

Thanks, KOOK :goodvibes. I'm hoping to book something in the very near future. I'll let you know as soon as I do so I can be logged :thumbsup2.

I can't help with opinions on view from the room or anything else as we are staying at the CR for the first time in December, but I wanted to say congrats on the DVC points and I hope you enjoy BLT :wizard:.

Not me. I have my 2015 trip planned, and just have to wait for my DVC 11 month window to open so I can book. :lmao:

Congrats and have a great trip. Yes, you can listen to the music thru the TV, unless they have changed it to another format. The BLT rooms are divided into three categories - Theme Park, Lake, Standard. If you have a TP view, then you should have a great view of Wishes. If for some reason you don't get a TP view, there is the TOTWL, a lounge at the top of the hotel with a great view/ music. The rules have changed on attendance (DVC owner), so if you can't get there, you can watch it over at the 4th floor CR terrace. We've even watched it from the parking lot at BLT. The music is piped in all over the place.

Also, make sure you take time to enjoy the resort. You can see the Electric Water Parade about 30 minutes after Wishes on the other side of the building. Or, my preferred location(s), walk over to the CR and sit on the beach or back behind BLT at the firepit. There are lots of other activities you can enjoy as well.

We are booked for January 18-25, 2014 BLT Studio SV. Depending on what flight prices come in as we may shorten our trip by a day. Southwest is coming in very high so far for the beginning og January, here's hopin their prices go down for the end of the month.

I see someone already answered about the rooms on the 14th floor not overlooking the concourse. I have wondered if I would miss this as a part of the theming of the hotel or like it better. Only time will tell.

I haven't tried to apply any discounts yet and really am not sure if we'll be able to but when they come out later I intend to see if they can be applied to the standard rooms or not.

Glad to see I'm not the only long term planner here!! :)

I've neglected all of you today. I've been updating and posting the new WL/VWL thread. It's not a long trip over to the new thread on the Blue Flag;)

The new WL thread looks great :goodvibes.

I hope you like being in Tower club as much as Atrium club. I hope some pixie dust is sent your way and a good discount is offered for your rooms :wizard:.

I am looking for a link of the BLT room views (Standard, Lake, MK). It was color coded, if I remember right. Hopefully someone here has the link for this. I thought I had it bookmarked but cannot find it for the life of me.

Trying to help a co-worker (and myself, hopefully) plan a trip. TIA!!

EDIT: If I would have finished reading the firsts posts I would have found it.

Welcome! Congratulations on upgrading to BLT - you've been logged:)

You can listen to the Wishes music on channel 20. It's not February yet, but stick around here and we'll make the time go faster.
