We need a little “Magic”, right this very moment! – Completed

Here is our server unwrapping the Sea Bass from the Parchament.

This was soooooo good! It was perfectly cooked, the layers of fish just flaked off delicately. It was so moist.

The other dish we split was the Grilled Sea Scallops with Borlotti Beans and Pancetta served with a Tomato Sauce. This was very good, but the Sea Bass was just too good that nothing compared.

I didn’t get a picture of the dessert menu, but I always know what I am getting here. This was a little bit smaller than the one on the Wonder, and that made it a little bit more manageable. Both Fran and I got one.

She also ordered this, I think it was some kind of a Tiramisu cake.

Then they brought us this wonderful beverage. It was a lemon flavored sort of thing, sort of like a slushie. I had never had this at Palo before. Our server told us that it was to help digestion. It was great because I was sooooooo stuffed and it really helped to soothe my bulging stomach.

I liked it so much he brought us more when they finished making up a new batch.

I took a few shots of the restaurant as things were winding down.

We were so tired and full, neither of us wanted to go out for Pirate night fireworks, so we just went back to the room. I also forgot to take a picture of the towel animal. We settled in to read the Navigator and figure out what we were going to do the next (besides our scheduled excursion).

OMG the Sea Bass is AMAZING!! I get it every time we go. I always say I'm going to try something new, but it is the best that I have ever had.

 I'm so behind. Enjoyed both updates. The choices at Palo looks so good. I'd have ordered the Osso Buco but both seafood dishes look good too.

Sorry the tender back wasn't as pleasant on the way out.

Very cool that you exchanged emails with friends on the ship and will stay in touch. The world is so small now due to the ability to communicate. I was FBing with oneof DH's associates in Africa about malaria pills. Staying connected is so easy. :thumbsup2

Thank you for posting menus. I like seeing them. Oh and of room service food too. It looks good. I like bleu cheese on my wings and I wouldn't have liked all that honey mustard all over. And I allow my food to touch. ;)

I'm drooling over the Palo dinner. I need to try the Sea Bass on our next cruise, my sister loved it too.

I love that picture of you and Fran. Fran look great in that shot!

The food! :faint: I just had dinner and it made me hungry again. Was that lemon slushie alcoholic? It looks like something I would love.

That sea bass is so delicious!!!

Great idea about room service, I have yet to do that.

How very nice they brought you bigger slushies, to fill in the cracks of course popcorn::

I love Room Service for lunch on busy days.

That picture is very cute of both of you!

Dinner at Palo.... OMG.... Do not have words.... Except I am jealous.

I have enjoyed reading your report very much - I'm excited to hear if you enjoyed the tequila and tacos tour because we'll be doing that one in October. My mother is a full time wheelchair user and it's one of the few tours that is supposed to be accessible.

Keep up the excellent writing!

Fran had a great idea to have room service. I had that steak sandwich in October and it was delicious. You seemed to have had a nice relaxing afternoon. The dinner at Palo looked fantastic.

Hi, I am not sure how I wound up finding your trip report, but I just had to pop in and say I love that you post the food and menus in such great photographic detail and have been enjoying your report. I usually frequent the Disneyland side of the DIS forums and have never been on a cruise before, but obviously I have got to try one if only for all the food possibilities! popcorn::

That's how I was with the lamb, but once I got to have a taste at the demo, I was able to branch out and try something else. Next time, I think I'm going to get the lamb and the Sea Bass and leave off the ravioli.

I did that room service one for you. I knew you would like it! ;) :thumbsup2

I would really like to have it again, right about now.

I love that picture of you and Fran. Fran look great in that shot!

I think that there was champagne in there. It really hit the spot and after eating way too much it was great!

The room service thing is great and I think the choices were a little bit better than Pluto's too.

I love Room Service for lunch on busy days.

You really need to try a Disney cruise!

That will be a great one for you. I have it all written up, I just need to post it, but it will be perfect for someone in a wheelchair.

it was a little different than the steak sandwich that I got on the Wonder last year, but she really enjoyed it. I'm jealous, you will be eating at Palo next week! But in two days we will be hanging out at DLR!

Sadly to say, I had hoped that we did more than just eat and sleep on this cruise but as I go back through my TR, pretty much that's about all we did. At least it was fun! I love remembering all the great meals that we had and when I first started planning my cruises, I wanted to know everything I could get. I appreciated all the other folks who shared the menus, so I try to do the same.

I'm glad you're enjoying it!

The next morning we woke up with Mickey and again had coffee, orange juice and chocolate milk delivered to the room. Here are the Navigators and shopping map.

We wouldn’t be arriving in Cozumel until 10:15 and our Port Adventure met in Sessions at 10:45AM, so it was pointless to get off the boat because it would take us from the time they let us off just to get to the end of the pier before we had to come back to meet up for our excursion. We just took our time getting ready and then headed off to Parrot Cay for breakfast.

For lunch and dinner this place is a buffet, it usually has similar offerings as to what you find upstairs at Topsiders.

My breakfast

Some shots of the room. Next time we are here, it will be completely different.

And Fran’s breakfast.

We still had some time to kill before meeting up for our excursion, so Fran decided to go sit at the Internet Café and catch up on her emails and other stuff she likes to do every day. While she did that I snapped some pictures out the portholes opposite the Promenade Lounge.

I saw these guys down there and secretly hoped that we would hire them and not try to walk the length of the pier.

Some more shots of the coastline.

I found out the Captain Hook and Mr. Smee were in the Lobby area, so I pryed her away from the computer and got her to wait in line with me. Normally she doesn’t seem to like to take pictures with characters other than Mickey so I was pleasantly surprised when she wanted to be in the picture too.

After the picture we headed towards Sessions to gather for our tour.

I didn’t remember whether I had taken pictures of this area. :rolleyes1

We waited for some time while folks for more physically daring excursions signed waivers. Finally I went up to the guys in charge and said, “I don’t think we need waivers for Tequila Tasting.” He told me that I did need to sign my name on this list. Fran and my names were the first ones on the list.

When the time came, everyone headed out together (regardless of excursion) and went to the pier. We were walking off the ship today so no need to tender. We were introduced to our guide for the day, Maria. It turns out that there was one other woman doing the trip with us, she also walked with a cane and I think she was a little bit more unsteady on her feet than Fran.

We hired the guys with the little bicycle carts to take us to the end of the pier. It turns out that there is no set price for their services, just a tip. He whisked us through all the crowds and got us safely to the front of the pier. Fran gave him a $5 tip, that’s what the other lady tipped too, so I think that was fair.

After a small amount of “hurry up and wait”, Maria escorted us to a cab that would take us to our destination for the afternoon.

A few shots on our way…

Luckily this was not our destination!

And we approached our destination.

I finally found something that I like about the new style Navigator. I love how the listings for the Character Meet and Greets are laid out. Your breakfast looked good. I am glad that you did not have to walk to the end of the pier. It sounds like fun being in such a small group.

I'm just catching up after 2 weeks away. Looks like you had a great vacation (so far,;)) Your shore excursions seem to be working out for Fran so far too. We are contemplating a Magic 5 day for September 2014 so I'm paying very close attention...

There are bits of Cozumel and Carmen de Playa that looks familiar. And Cozumel looks completely cleaned up compared to what I remember from the late 90's.

Looking forward to your Tasty Tastings!

Fun fun fun! More tequila. party:

You have the cutest dresses. :thumbsup2 You're inspiring me to get some for our cruise. And Vegas. And Mexico. :beach:

The buffet looks good. Thank you, thank you for the Navigators. I actually printed off the pages so I could see them better.

Glad Fran decided to have you take the bike ride down the walk vs walking.

I did love the room service menus and food. You know me too well. :goodvibes

It was nice that there were only a few of us, and it turned out that Fran and I were very understanding of the slow pace that the other lady needed. It's definitely a good tour for HA. They were very accommodating. The hardest part was getting into the taxi.

I hope your two weeks away for good reasons! :goodvibes

Oh, you said September, when I first read this I was being hopeful. (foreshadowing). :rolleyes1

Having never been there, the only thing I can think of is Tiajuana. That was pretty much all that we saw besides the center which will be my next update.

Thank you! I love my dresses, but I rarely get to wear at home them since Fran is usually requesting me to install, clean, move or dig out things. I end up wearing my shirts full of holes and stained pants at home.

I'm glad you're enjoying the posts. Your trip will be totally different, but at least you get the idea.

Foreshadowing you say? How very exciting :)

I'm loving your pictures of Cozumel, they're taking me right back to my trip last year.

I'm glad they didn't cancel your excursion, everything I've heard is that when there are not enough people they can be canceled.
